Atomic Clock Ensemble in Space (ACES) / Human Spaceflight Research / Human Spaceflight Atomic Clock Ensemble in Space (ACES) Atomic Clock Ensemble in Space (ACES) is a fascinating new ESA mission developed in cooperation with the French Space Agency (CNES) that will expand the range of research on the International Space Station (ISS). The ACES clocks will be installed on the external payload facility of the Columbus module. The frequency reference generated on-board the ISS will be used by a worldwide network of ground terminals to perform comparisons with the best available atomic clocks on the ground. Time flies on the ISS Short introductory video of ACES. The most precise measurement of time yet – in space – will be used to probe our knowledge of the fundamental laws of physics ruling the Universe. Report on Reich Research from Group in Greece An introductory paper giving a Reichian perspective on zero point energy, global weather phenomena, free energy, modern science and non-science, misconceptions and associated dangers; as a contribution to discussions involving climate changes, disasters, and the quest for new energies. by Bababamoto, 2011-05-10 for Pure Energy Systems News This paper is based on our own research and experience. In view of the, for some, controversial nature of what we are trying to get across, it seems prudent to go into some detail about our scientific and psychological background: My brother and I have been in the fortunate position to be able to run our own privately funded research laboratory in for some years. Our father, who emigrated from Germany to Sweden in 1953, was apparently instrumentally involved with a highly secret development program involving nuclear weapons technology in Sweden between 1953 and 1962. SAO/NASA ADS: ADS Home Page Portal:Electromagnetism From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia In physics, a magnetic field is the relativistic part of an electric field, as Einstein explained in 1905. When an electric charge is moving from the perspective of an observer, the electric field of this charge due to space contraction is no longer seen by the observer as spherically symmetric due to non-radial time dilation, and it must be computed using the Lorentz transformations.

How does a light-mill work? [Physics FAQ] - [Copyright] updated June 1997 by PEG. Original by Philip Gibbs July 1996. In 1873, while investigating infrared radiation and the element thallium, the eminent Victorian experimenter Sir William Crookes developed a special kind of radiometer, an instrument for measuring radiant energy of heat and light. When sunlight falls on the light-mill, the vanes turn with the black surfaces apparently being pushed away by the light. When this was realised, other explanations for the radiometer effect were sought and some that people came up with are still mistakenly quoted as correct. To understand why these common explanations are wrong, think first of a simpler setup in which a tube of gas is kept hot at one end and cool at the other. Another blind alley was the theory that the heat vaporises gases dissolved in the black coating, which then leak out and propel the vanes round. The vanes of a radiometer are not porous. Electromagnetic pulse An electromagnetic pulse (EMP), also sometimes called a transient electromagnetic disturbance, is a short burst of electromagnetic energy. Such a pulse may occur in the form of a radiated electric or magnetic field or conducted electrical current depending on the source, and may be natural or man-made. The term "electromagnetic pulse" is commonly abbreviated to EMP, pronounced by saying the letters separately (E-M-P). EMP interference is generally damaging to electronic equipment, and at higher energy levels a powerful EMP event such as a lightning strike can damage physical objects such as buildings and aircraft structures. The damaging effects of high-energy EMP have been used to create EMP weapons. General characteristics[edit] An electromagnetic pulse is a relatively short burst of electromagnetic energy. Max Planck I regard consciousness as fundamental. I regard matter as derivative from consciousness. We cannot get behind consciousness. Max Karl Ernst Ludwig Planck (23 April 1858 – 4 October 1947) is the originator of modern quantum theories and one of the most important German physicists of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, winning the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1918. Quotes[edit] Science cannot solve the ultimate mystery of nature. A new scientifictruth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die, and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it. New scientificideas never spring from a communal body, however organized, but rather from the head of an individually inspired researcher who struggles with his problems in lonely thought and unites all his thought on one single point which is his whole world for the moment. Die Wahrheit triumphiert nie, ihre Gegner sterben nur aus. Misattributed[edit]

The Borderland of Science This day being July 10, 2012, we take a moment now to mark the birth of Nikola Tesla, a man who is known by many for his work in the development of Alternating Current, for his quirks of character, for being an “enemy” of Thomas Edison, and for being a vampire on a science-fiction television program. Hailed as a “geek icon”, Tesla may be more well-known today than any time since his death, but how many are interested in the work he was actually pioneering on the borderland of science, work that is now largely relegated to the fringe? While we may applaud his development of alternating current and radio, or marvel at the effects of Tesla coils and plasma lamps, these must be seen as the beginnings, and not the ending, of what are Tesla’s great contributions to science and society, and there is much left to be learned from his research. As far as we appear to have come, there is further to go if we are to understand, recreate, and expand on the theories and technologies he envisioned.

The Tesla Mystique Nikola Tesla, The Philadelphia Experiment, HAARP and Other Folklore Article by George B. Trinkaus, © 2008. Republished with permission. Despite his obscurity, the greatest genius of all time was Nikola Tesla. In his old age, forgotten and penniless, Tesla was murdered by agents of the U.S. government in a seedy Manhattan hotel room, his papers confiscated and disappeared by the FBI. Antigravitic UFOs are Tesla technology, as are the quantum-vacuum, zero-point energy generators that drive them. The preceding will pass as intelligent Tesla-speak on late-night talk radio, on the internet, and at cocktail parties. The Mystique sentimentalizes, romanticizes, and mystifies the memory of Nikola Tesla. The Mystique must make Tesla a paragon of character in all directions. Tesla, the Humanitarian The sentimentalized Tesla becomes the humanitarian idealist fighting the establishment for the benefit of human society. Tesla was indeed an idealist. Not necessarily. Humanitarian or totalitarian?

generators Charybdis is designed to simulate the production and decay of black holes in hadron collider experiments, according to theories with TeV-scale gravity and extra spatial dimensions. The production of the black hole is assumed to take place with a basically geometrical cross section. The decay then takes place via Hawking radiation using the D-dimensional grey-body factors. There is now a new version of Charybdis including many new physics features which can be obtained here and we recommend for all new physics studies. If you use the code please reference C.M. The first of these is available here as either postscript or html. The generator itself only performs the production and decay of the black hole. Version 1.003 is available here as a gzipped tar file. As the code is designed to run with either HERWIG or PYTHIA there are a few things which need to be set up. You should have the following code: In the Les Houches routines the beams are specified as follows: MPLNCK the Planck Mass [1000.]
