Lil Weasel - Bienvenue chez Lil Weasel Knit 'n Style Magazine - Real Fashion for Real Knitters Penelope Pattern The divine (tee hee) Ariadne officially put the bee in my bonnet to set this one down in writing. So after a couple weeks of doing other stuff and spending some time re-creating the border to figure out how I made it in the first place, here goes... I'm super-new to writing patterns down, so please if any of this doesn't make sense, let me know! Finished Measurements: 6" (10" including edging) by 9 feet

Accessoires couture et mercerie : tissus, fils à tricoter, et mercerie - Bouillon de Couture The Knitter Design your own scarf or shawl My latest project is triangular scarves or shawls - depending on how big you make them. I have figured out a basic pattern that you can then customize as you wish. I will explain the basics here and also some of the customization I made. Use any yarn you like with the corresponding needles about a size or 2 larger than recommended, CO 6 stitches Row 1 - K row 2 - K row 3 - k 2, m1k1 place marker k1 m1 k to end (now for the first m1, purl in the stitch, don't drop it and knit in the same stitch (2 sts) for the 2nd M1, knit in the stitch, don't drop it and Purl in the same stitch.) you have a total of 8 sts row 4 knit the 1st 3 sts, purl to last 3 sts, knit last 3 sts. Now the pattern starts - these 2 rows will be kept constant throughout

De Rerum Natura Manos del Uruguay – fair trade hand dyed yarns by the Manos Co-op and Fairmount Fibers January has been a great month for free patterns in Manos del Uruguay yarns… we’ve released two new ones on the Fairmount Fibers Free Patterns page, and The Purl Bee has made another one available in their Project Journal section. We love sharing free patterns with you, since they are such a good way to get to know Manos yarns. Each of these patterns showcases different aspects of the yarn they use, so they’re ideal for learning about the fiber if you’ve been thinking of trying something new! The first pattern to be released this month was the “Belated Handwarmers,” worked up in Silk Blend. As you can see in this picture, this yarn has a lovely sheen to it. The knitted ribbing and cable pattern is also nice and squishy, because the silk content of the fiber lends its weight and drape to the fabric.

Peace and Wool ☮ kits en tricot - Peace and Wool DECYPHERING FRANCIS Since Shibui Silk has been out for 2 months now and nothing makes me happier than eager knitters itching to put those projects on their needles. There have been lots of questions and inquiries about Francis and today I am going with a little step by step tutorial with photos what makes this tee so innovative - construction. Francis is worked horizontally and in 2 parts. Beginning with the sleeve and working towards the middle of the front, while both backs are worked using short-row shaping, then overlapping. Yet there are no side seams, no shoulder seams.
