Washington State Trooper Keith Leary told The Seattle Times the girl, Tobiah Leonard, 9, was killed about 1 p.m. Sunday when a 1-foot-diameter, 15-foot-long tree branch slammed into the roof of a Ford Explorer on Whidbey Island in Puget Sound.
