What is Kickstarter

What is Kickstarter
1. Kickstarter is a new way to fund creative projects. We’re a home for everything from films, games, and music to art, design, and technology. Kickstarter is full of projects, big and small, that are brought to life through the direct support of people like you. Since our launch in 2009, 6 million people have pledged $1 billion, funding 60,000 creative projects. Thousands of creative projects are raising funds on Kickstarter right now. 2. The filmmakers, musicians, artists, and designers you see on Kickstarter have complete control over and responsibility for their projects. 3. Project creators set a funding goal and deadline. 4. Backers are supporting projects to help them come to life, not to profit financially. 5. Mozart, Beethoven, Whitman, Twain, and other artists funded works in similar ways — not just with help from large patrons, but by soliciting money from smaller patrons, often called subscribers. 6. 7. We’re an independent company of 81 people based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

How to Install Windows 7 with only USB 3.0 Ports So if you have tried to install Windows 7 using a USB Flash Drive onto a system that only has USB 3.0 ports you might have found that you couldn’t get past the Language Select screen of the installer as your keyboard and mouse didn’t work. I recently had this problem when trying to install Win 7 onto my Gigabyte Brix XM12-3227 . The keyboard and mouse worked great in the BIOS, but as soon as the Windows 7 installation media loaded and I was presented with that familiar Language Select screen, I had no cursor, or keyboard. I tried a couple of other things, like grabbing an older PS/2 keyboard and connecting it via a PS/2 to USB adapter. Same problem.

Scientific Speed Reading: How to Read 300% Faster in 20 Minutes (Photo: Dustin Diaz) How much more could you get done if you completed all of your required reading in 1/3 or 1/5 the time? Increasing reading speed is a process of controlling fine motor movement—period. Free Online Courses for Aspiring Filmmakers This is a guest post by freelance writer Donna Reish. You don’t have to have a bachelor’s or graduate degree in film in order to become a successful film maker—but you do need to have talent and knowledge of the industry. Open courseware are online classes that are offered entirely for free. The New Way to Test Your 'Biological' Age How old you are depends not so much when you were born but how your clock is ticking. From denying that age is important to obsessively monitoring the calorific content of our diets, humans obsess one way or another about getting older. How we define ageing or when you become “old” is not trivial. In biomedical studies, particular those focused on the molecular mechanisms of growing older, loss of function and biomarkers of disease are used to define how much you have aged. From my perspective, this is almost certainly misleading.

A/B testing In marketing and business intelligence, A/B testing is jargon for a randomized experiment with two variants, A and B, which are the control and treatment in the controlled experiment. It is a form of statistical hypothesis testing with two variants leading to the technical term, Two-sample hypothesis testing, used in the field of statistics. Other terms used for this method include bucket tests and split testing but these terms have a wider applicability to more than two variants. In online settings, such as web design (especially user experience design), the goal is to identify changes to web pages that increase or maximize an outcome of interest (e.g., click-through rate for a banner advertisement). Formally the current web page is associated with the null hypothesis.

So when you need fuel, you need to eat. But did you know that you can choose foods that have specific vibrations that correspond to some chakras, thereby helping to raise the chakra’s vibration and recharging it? With this knowledge, you can eat for bodily fuel and eat to support your chakras. Nourishing Energy Chakras are spinning “wheels of light” or energy centers in the body that start at the root chakra at the base of the spine, and travel up to the crown chakra at the top of your head, stopping at five other points along the way.
