Immigration Canada - Study in Canada FAQ The first step is to get admission to a Canadian school that is designated by the Government of Canada. Only designated institutions can be used to support a study permit application. Once you have a letter of acceptance, you can apply for a study permit. The collection is particularly strong in the subject areas of education, psychology, American history, sociology, religion, and science and technology.
