Brooklyn Street Art Posted on April 7, 2014 “After photographing in the mosh pits for awhile I began to get familiar with patterns in the music. Eventually it got to the point where I could sense the moment coming when things would really cut loose and go berserk,” says painter Dan Witz about his process and method for catching the moment when the roiling mass of hardcore music fans hit the perfect state of frenzy. “NY Hardcore Paintings”, opening this past Saturday night and on view currently at The Jonathan Levine gallery in Chelsea, presents Witz with his new body of convulsing bodies and to say they are a revelation is only part of the story. STREETSY Divulgando Banda Desenhada Urbanist.fr Super Touch Art recycled barrel planter We’ve been having the most beautiful sunny weather for the past few days here in Oakland, and it’s making me desperate to get into a garden . . . if only I had one! I’ve been planning to create a container garden for a while now, but hadn’t really found a space-saving design I liked — until this recycled barrel planter from Kate at Centsational Girl landed in my lap. Inspired by a similar planter she saw in a catalog for hundreds of dollars, Kate decided to make her own version for ten times less, using a half barrel and wood from old pallets. See the full how-to for Kate’s recycled barrel planter after the jump! Graffiti Art Magazine New Age Street Art EDITO #77 | June – July 2024 Here we are! Street Art is heading to the next level, as shown by a series of events that were unthinkable just a few years ago: Kylian Mbappé’s stratospheric bid of €520,000 on Hopare’s portrait of Pelé at a charity auction; Renault’s commitment to Street Art reflecting the pioneering spirit of the group in contemporary art; the opening of the Pompidou Centre to Urban Art with Gérard Zlotykamien’s entry into the museum’s collections and the official placement of Invader’s PA_1500; the landmark exhibition We Are Here at Petit Palais; the phenomenal success of the Invader Space Station exhibition (see GraffitiART #76)…Street Art is now a full fledge movement that enlivens events and venues.
