Google+
Google has released an updated Google+ iPhone app that is now available on all iOS devices, including the iPad. However, the update doesn't add anything new to the Google+ mobile app for iPhone, which has been available since mid July. The new release simply makes the app work on the iPad. It even keeps its original size, floating in a sea of blackness, although you can tap a "x2" button to magnify the app and view it in all its granulated iPad glory. Regardless of the fact that, for now, the app isn't any different on the iPad than on the iPhone (and, while we're at it, let's note that Google delivers a remarkably similar experience on the Google+ mobile app for Android, too), mobile apps are essential to the whole social-networking experience. LogMeIn Remote Access App
LogMeIn, formerly known as LogMeIn Ignition, is an excellent remote access app for the iPad and iOS – that allows you to access and control your Mac and Windows PCs from the iPad. The app has recently had its name changed and has become a free app – it was previously a $30 app. There are a number of very good remote access apps for the iPad, but I think LogMeIn is the best of a very good bunch. The free app does not offer all of the powerful features of LogMeIn, but probably offers enough for most users. LogMeIn Pro users get all the benefits and capabilities of LogMeIn Free, plus:NEW: High Definition (HD) remote control, optimized for streaming video and audio content from their PCs to their iOS devices (Mac HD streaming is planned for early 2012) Cloud storage integration to quickly and seamlessly view, copy, transfer and save files between iOS devices, personal or work computers, and popular cloud services (e.g. Here’s an App Store link for LogMeIn.
