Alberto Martinez (MindMapping Everywhere) Digitalhead Daily » [TIPS] RunAsDate lets you indefinitely extend software trial periods If you get a trial version of a program, it will generally give to a certain amount of time to try the software and evaluate it before buying. What if the software’s 3-day trial period just isn’t enough for you to be satisfied? There are a few programs out there that will let you run programs as a set date to get more out of a trial period, but RunAsDate from NirSoft seems to be the most simple out of the bunch. This utility is simple to use. To simplify the process later on, tell it to create a desktop shortcut. This could be a downside if the program actually uses the date and time for whatever purpose, but if you want everything to work properly, you might want to consider either buying the software or looking for an open source alternative. Now for the caveats. You may want to remove all other shortcuts to the program from your desktop and start menu after making sure this tool works with the program you are using it with. What do you think?

Kyle McFarlin (Underlying Blog) Burritos & Sundresses It's summertime and most of my motivation, to put it bluntly, is focused on Chipotle, Mountain Dew and girls. It reminds me of that episode of Friends when someone asks Joey what he'd rather give up, food or women? I still have no answer, all I see is a pretty lady in a sundress handing me a Chipotle burrito with steak and guacamole, telling me I won the race. I have no damn clue what that means. Seriously though, and especially given that I live in Ohio, land of the 4 schizophrenic seasons, I don't feel like working at all... and I actually have a lot to do. If only I had motivation... so in 'continuing the greatness' as Bron Bron would say and blogging monthly, I've written the following to myself in the hope it helps you and I. 3 Tips for Destroying Summer Procrastination Tip 1: Make yourself work, at a minimum, 9-5 OR an 8 hour shift If you need to break it up into 2, 4 hour shifts that's fine. Tip 2: Use vacation days when you play hooky Look, I live in Ohio.
