Valentino Fall 2014 Menswear Inaugural dress of Fay Webb Gardner, 1928-29 Fuchsia Dress c. 1923-1925 Nasjonalmuseet for Kunst, Arketketur, og Design (via omgthatdress) Hi, this is Emily, and I know this isn’t a dress, but I thought I would put up a link to this project all the same for folks that might be interested… I’m part of the new line-up of art books for Benign Kingdom’s Spring 2013 collection! In addition to a lot of pictures of monsters and babes — such as those in the cover image above — my book also includes a number of my images from this here blog. Thanks! I’ve been watching the excellent BBC show The Hour and if you like vintage fashions, man, point your eyeballs at that one.

Arty Farty Hannah Christenson Illustration How to Draw Cloth - The Basics by *JaneMere on deviantART Verabee Resources | Anatomical Reference for the Artist [appropriately witty title] theartofanimation: Alexander Wilson I don’t usually re-blog anything as a rule, especially my own work, but I love the collections that The Art of Animation put together and couldn’t be more flattered to be featured! I highly recommend giving them a follow if you don’t already, they make the best inspiration posts. Thank you! -Alex Warm up’s from yesterday. Hope your week has started well! Cheers, Happy Monday! Mermaid Monday anyone? So as mentioned last time, I’m going to try posting a sketch page or two each week and actually have something that resembles a regular posting routine. Also, since it will only be one page (or a double page spread) at a time I will start slipping a few close ups in there from time to time. Hope you had a great start to your week, where ever you are! Bah, I can’t believe how quickly January has flown by. I hope this will do for now. Happy New Year Tumblrites! Another year another batch of messy sketch pages! Cheers! In the mean time: Le sketch post. Bit more progress.

(With that said, it’s an excellent tutorial on normal-human-being hands, for people who aren’t absurdly hypermobile!) kelpls: REBLGBSLE FOR ANON Oh i added a bit more bc i was half asleep last night UM I DON”T THINK I’m the best at drawing ahds at all so yeah listen only if u think it helps !! spookpolice: I just started making some references for myself, but got carried away hahah… ha :’DI figured I’d share. devkimiko: Adventures in printing Part 2. toopunktoocare said: Can you help me out with lips? Show & Tell (blog) - Meg Hunt Illustration This is the first purely personal piece of artwork I’ve made in a long time, and with it I’m going to break away from the norms here and share something. After spending time with dear friends yesterday and talking about process and struggles, I felt compelled to make something and talk about something I usually hide away. The fact is, for over a decade I’ve been fighting with anxiety and depression. I feel very weird writing this here— it seems like in the online world it’s something we’re supposed to tuck away. It might not be professional, or it could come off as complaining or bleak. But I do not mean this to be, dear readers. I still feel very weird writing this. I write this with a positive note; after finally getting sick of this pattern I am taking strides to fight these issues at their core and separate my well-being from my work, and for the first time in a while I’m starting to feel good (knock on wood).
