Charlie Layton Graphic designer Charlie Layton started sketching for his own amusementRealised his fridge door was the same material as a dry-erase boardDrawings have gone viral and his website crashed from the extra traffic By Steve Robson Published: 17:03 GMT, 15 January 2013 | Updated: 04:46 GMT, 18 January 2013 It started out as a way for freelance designer Charlie Layton to entertain himself over his morning coffee. The Philadelphia-based artist realised his fridge freezer door was made out of the same material as a dry-erase board and was perfect for him to practice doodling. Now every Friday he spends 25 minutes trying to come up with something clever and then posts his efforts online. Charlie improvises with the freezer door to create this clever image which gives the impression of an x-ray Stop thief! Ice work: Each drawing takes Charlie around 25 minutes to come up with and he posts a new one on his blog every Friday 'It's pretty crazy.

Fun with Foam Printing - Easy Tutorial I loved this idea because not only can you recycle these horrid polystyrene containers, but the process is really simple. You could even use tracing paper and trace your design so you don't even need to be able to draw. You could make a whole series of cards like this or just a colorful print to hang on your wall and cheer up the place. Materials needed: Foam or polystyrene container pencil paint or ink small roller 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Happy printing! I honestly credit a fraction of who I am today to each title. Thus, they have indirectly influenced much of what I write about on this site. A medley of both fiction and nonfiction, these great reads challenged my internal status quo, opening my mind to new ideas and opportunities, and together they gave me a basic framework for living, loving, learning and working successfully. If you haven’t read these books yet, I highly recommend doing so. Stumbling on Happiness by Daniel Gilbert – Gilbert, a Harvard professor of psychology has studied happiness for decades, and he shares scientific findings that just might change the way you look at the world. I don’t think about the past or regret things much these days. But sometimes I wish that I had known some of things I have learned over the last few years a bit earlier. That perhaps there had been a self-improvement class in school. And in some ways there probably was. Because some of these 16 things in this article a teacher probably spoke about in class. Some of it would probably not have stuck in my mind anyway. But I still think that taking a few hours from all those German language classes and use them for some personal development classes would have been a good idea. So here are 16 things I wish they had taught me in school (or I just would like to have known about earlier). 1. This is one of the best ways to make better use of your time. So a lot of what you do is probably not as useful or even necessary to do as you may think. You can just drop – or vastly decrease the time you spend on – a whole bunch of things. 2. You can do things quicker than you think. 3. 4. 5.

The 8 happiest dogs on YouTube There are few things in life happier than a happy dog. It doesn't matter if it's because they hear you pull into the driveway after work or if they find something particularly smelly to roll around on in the backyard; if a dog is happy you are going to know about it. You can see them just vibrate with pure unfiltered joy, as if they can't believe that life can be this good. Thanks to the ubiquity of cameras and YouTube, there are scores of videos of supremely happy canines just waiting to be found. National Guardsman comes home There is an entire subset of happy dog videos showing happy pups greeting their soldier-owners back from tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Whines and cuddles for Air Force captain home from Afghanistan This is another dog-welcomes-soldier-home video, this time starring Molly the golden retriever.
