The Office for Future-Related Issues has initiated at least 25 Wisdom Councils in the State of Vorarlberg. Moreover, the Office has started a research project by the European Institute of Public Participation to promote further distribution and evaluation. Structure and process Although the basic design of the Wisdom Council is flexible and can, according to its application, be adapted to the existing structures and general conditions, the Wisdom Council process is basically three steps. 1. 2. 3. an urban farm Seeds @ City has many visitors. Sometimes it becomes clear, that it is we who are visiting. Even the most involved person spends only a fraction of their lives on our farm. Some of the more permanent creatures are often referred to as visitors. You can find caterpillars and cocoons. Our goal is a vibrant and productive food forest. The pictures included in this post are of one of our most favored and frequent visitors, a good example of our reward, the Monarch Butterfly. The first picture is of a Monarch caterpillar enjoying lunch and the second is of a pair, unperturbed by observation and refusing to be interrupted, in a compromising situation. A beautiful example of the things that can bring the most joy to a farmer.
Earth Keepers San Diego Institute for Regional Studies of the Californias (IRSC) at San Diego State University The Institute for Regional Studies of the Californias has under way, or has recently completed, a number of applied research topics on issues related to the U.S.-Mexican border region and borders elsewhere. These projects are carried out by teams of researchers drawn from the faculty of San Diego State University, Mexican universities, and other regional and international universities.
