More About Everyday Wellness Homemade Oreos I almost never repeat recipes. I have soooo many recipes bookmarked and dog eared that it just doesn't make sense to bake the same thing twice. This recipe is the exception. These cookies are the most demanded item that I bake. As a matter of fact you probably won't even believe me if I tell you who requested these cookies. I first saw these cookies on Smitten Kitchen (one of my absolute favorite blogs, ever!) The filling is a dead ringer for the oreo filling. These will definitely impress anyone you make them for.

Entrepreneurship: Nothing to Lose and Everything to Gain | Power Your Future Provided by by Dan Schawbel, contributor I recently caught up with Ryan Blair, who is a serial entrepreneur and author of the new book "Nothing to Lose, Everything to Gain." How did you shake your criminal record and re-brand yourself? I remember when I was working my way up in the first company that employed me, I used to have nightmares that one day they'd find out about that I had been in a gang, call me into the office, and fire me. Ryan Blair In this day and age people want authenticity. What's your take on the educational system? As a product of Los Angeles's public school system, in a state with the highest dropout rate in the nation (about 20 percent), I can tell you from personal experience that some of our brightest minds are being misidentified because of a one-size-fits-all learning environment. I recall sitting with a career counselor in continuation high school, being told that I didn't have the intellect or aptitude to become a doctor or a lawyer. No. More from Forbes.com:

Best pizza spots in the U.S. Top chefs and fabled bakers are among the new breed of pizzaiolo who are just as fanatic over the temperature of their ovens as how local their ingredients are. Despite CHED order, why did Palace suspend college classes? - Nation In a rare instance, Malacañang took charge of suspending classes in the tertiary level in Metro Manila on Wednesday despite a Commission on Higher Education (CHED) policy that the agency-in-charge generally cannot order blanket class suspensions. Speaking to GMA News Online, presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said the suspension of Wednesday’s classes in universities and colleges in Metro Manila – announced through Lacierda’s Twitter account at 11:44 p.m. on Tuesday – was a special case. Earlier projections that Tropical Storm Juaning will directly hit Metro Manila were “strong enough to warrant a suspension," according to Lacierda. Lacierda said he, along with members of the Communications Group, announced the suspension as ordered by Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa Jr. and upon the recommendation by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Tuesday evening. Juaning only reached Signal No. 2 on Tuesday. ‘We needed to act’ Almost 2 hours to decide

Alexander Calder Early life[edit] Alexander "Sandy" Calder was born in Lawnton, Pennsylvania on July 22, 1898. His father, Stirling Calder, was a well-known sculptor who created many public installations, a majority of them in nearby Philadelphia. Sandy Calder's grandfather, sculptor Alexander Milne Calder, was born in Scotland, immigrated to Philadelphia in 1868, and is best known for the colossal statue of William Penn on top of Philadelphia City Hall's tower. Sandy Calder's mother, Nanette (née Lederer), was a professional portrait artist, who had studied at the Académie Julian and the Sorbonne in Paris from around 1888 until 1893. She moved to Philadelphia where she met Stirling Calder while studying at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. In 1902, Sandy Calder posed nude for his father’s sculpture The Man Cub, which is now located in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. After Arizona, the Calder family moved to Pasadena, California. Life and career[edit] The H.F. Artistic work[edit]

Brown Butter Double Fudge Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cookies Little bit of a mouthful there. But it’s like a cookie on top of another cookie! Yeah. Like total dirty cookie on cookie action. Except these ones down below wanted to try a few different positions. I dunno… they’re all mixed up. In order to solve a common I-want-a-chocolate-CHOCOLATE-cookie-but-he-wants-a-plain-chocolate chip-cookie dilemma that happens like, every single weekend here… I made both. Some of them smashed up against each other while others sat on top of each other but in the end, they all tasted… fantabulous. And then they tasted extra delicious after I spent two hours cleaning out the contents of our bar (take that as you will), after he spent three hours organizing the pantry (that was weird) and after we both needed to severely eat our emotions immediately post-Boardwalk Empire finale. WHAT was that. ??????? Why??? Then I tried to dunk a cookie in milk and failed. I need cookie dunking lessons, a redo on season 2 (thanks HBO), and a salad. [from giant rainbow cookies]

Circle of Time Planner Time management optimization... I'm always looking for different and effective ways to enhance time management. I've learned better managing what you have to do frees you up for what you want to do. I've bumped into a novel approach to day management that you may want to try out. We're all familiar with daily planner pages that use a grid/table to track the day (8 am at the top / 5 pm at the bottom). This novel version I've found, uses the clock dial to visually map time. [from the X17 website] There is something about seeing my day presented on a wheel like this that makes me feel I have better control of my time. You can mix pages that are blank, pages that are lined, a calendar, and an address book in the same journal. [click to view larger] Here I've filled it out similar to the way they do in the example from the X17 site. How to Use It Draw lines from the center to the hours you have appointments.Shade in the inner portion of the dial for in-office events. Hi there!
