The comments on his work keep flooding in with opinions on whether the works are original or derivative. Many have pointed to the influence of Maurice Sendak and Edward Gorey. With the little biographical information we have about Kenn, he was born in Denmark in 1978. He writes and directs television shows for kids. He makes his monster drawings on Post-it notes, and says, “It is a little window into a different world, made on office supplies.”

Paul Caddens Hyperrealistic Drawings Made with Graphite and Chalk Paul Cadden is a Scottish-born hyperrealist artist who creates painfully realistic artworks using only graphite and chalk. I’ve posted some pretty realistic drawings in the past, like Rajacenna’s detailed celebrity portraits, Juan Francisco Casas’ photo-like ballpoint pen drawings, or Paul Lung’s pencil artworks, but the pieces you’re about to see are on a whole other level. Using simple materials like graphite and white chalk, Paul Cadden is able to replicate complex photos down to the tiniest details. Whether it’s the countless wrinkles on an old man’s face, the smoke from a lit cigarette or the water dripping from someone’s face, he makes it look unbelievably realistic. “Although the drawings and paintings I make are based upon a series of photographs, video stills etc, the art created from the photo is used to create a softer and much more complex focus on the subject depicted, presenting it as a living tangible object. via Deviant Art

These seven artists were chosen because each has the ability to create paintings so realistic they look like pictures. These mind-blowing, hyper-realistic scenes are made by using nothing but oil-based paints on linen or canvas. Though some critics may discount their artistic ability, saying that creating paintings from photos isn't "true art," I happen to disagree. Moleskine Art - The Doodle Masterpieces For those who didn’t know about this till know Moleskine is a brand of notebooks, planners, diaries, sketchbooks and albums manufactured an Italian company. Moleskine notebooks are typically bound in coated paper cardboard, with an elastic band to hold the notebook closed, a sewn spine that allows it to lie flat when opened, cream colored paper, rounded corners, a ribbon bookmark, and an expandable pocket inside the rear cover, packed in a paper banderole. Although it might be considered by some just a random notebook, this little thing has become an icon for designers everywhere. Being small and practical, a lot of people create doodles in it to pass the time, but in the hands of a person with serious amounts of imagination, these doodles can become something really cool like the examples in this article.
