Primary & Secondary Actions in Web Forms August 25, 2007 by Luke Wroblewski & Etre In recent months, I’ve been working on refining the design recommendations in my upcoming book, Web Form Design Best Practices , through actual usage data. To that end, I’ve had the pleasure of working with London-based usability firm Etre on several eye-tracking and usability studies focused on specific aspects of Web form design. One of these tests focused on the distinction between primary and secondary actions. Primary & Secondary Actions A typical Web form usually enables several “final” actions. Secondary actions, on the other hand, tend to be less utilized and most often allow people to retract the data they’ve entered. Because secondary actions can have negative consequences, especially when used unintentionally, I’ve often argued they should be absent from forms. That said there are situations where secondary actions make sense (“Save for later”, “Export”, etc.). Visual Distinctions Option B performed best of all. Placement Summary

Hotlink - Htaccess de protection contre le vol d'image Comment ça marche ? En gros vous dites à votre serveur : Si un site qui n’est pas le mien et qui n’est pas Google vient se servir sur mon site, afficher cette image à la place. Et sur l’image, vous mettez ce que vous voulez, moi j’ai mis "contenu volé sur le site ...". 47 Outrageous Viral Marketing Examples over the Last Decade Over the course of the last decade, an array of viral marketing examples have come and gone with varying degrees of success. Though the term "viral" infers that the campaign is organic and self-replicating, marketers and big-name brands have begun to attempt manufacturing viral content in the hopes of increasing their brand awareness or product sales. Some feel that viral content cannot be manufactured and is only the product of organic and unpredictable forces, while a growing number of others feel that they can predict what people will be interested in, how they will share that content, and ultimately what will become viral. Special Note: Hotmail Though I know that we are looking at a decade of viral marketing, a look back at the history of online marketing efforts must include Hotmail. Perfecting Keyword Targeting & On-Page Optimization (Last Updated: October 24, 2014 by Rand) How do I build the perfectly optimized page? This is a challenging question for many in the SEO and web marketing fields. How to Identify CSS Elements On Any Template Easily | CSS For Bloggers: Part 7 - The Link Medic - Free Blogging Resources In Part 6, Learn the Anatomy of a Blogger Template I discussed a little about the basics of a standard Blogger template’s CSS setup. It was meant as a visual representation of how a CSS layout looks for beginners and a bit of a quick Thesis cheatsheet. But what if your Blogger template is radically different or you’re on WordPress or any other blog platform? Today I’m going to show you how to identify the CSS elements on any template using a very handy browser add-on called CSS Viewer I was debating putting this post as a Chrome Extension Must Have but it was originally a FireFox addon. CSS Viewer is a simple to use CSS property viewer that allows you to quickly find the name of the element you want to tweak. If you didn’t design the template then this can sometimes be a daunting task of viewing the source code and getting creative.
