Ghost walks put a chill on hot summer nights | News They're back! Just when you thought that it might be relatively safe to go outside this summer. Once a month starting on May 25 (Retro Fest weekend), local 'ghost guru' Sheila Gibbs (a.k.a. 'Ghost Girl') and her sidekick in the world of spirits, local historian Jim Gilbert (me), plus a cast of . . . well . . . a few more will lead you on a stroll through some of Chatham's oldest and most haunted streets by eerie lantern light. Started five years ago as a partnership between the Kent Historical Society and Retro Suites Hotel, these Ghost Walks have proven to be a very popular summer outing for hundreds of local residents as well as visitors from outside of the area staying at Retro Suites. It seems that no matter where we go in the heart of old Chatham, there's always something new to talk about and new experiences to relate. Each tour is an experience onto itself. We'll once again visit the home of poor Jessie who has a lesson to convey to all teenage girls.
