iPod Like other digital music players, iPods can serve as external data storage devices. Storage capacity varies by model, ranging from 2 GB for the iPod Shuffle to 160 GB for the iPod Classic. The devices are controlled by the Samsung ARM and the Apple A5 CPUs. Apple's iTunes software (and other software) can be used to transfer music, photos, videos, games, contact information, e-mail settings, Web bookmarks, and calendars, to the devices supporting these features from computers using certain versions of Apple Macintosh and Microsoft Windows operating systems.[1][2] Prior to iOS 5, the iPod branding was used for the media player included with the iPhone and iPad, a combination of the Music and Videos apps on the iPod Touch. As of iOS 5, separate apps named "Music" and "Videos" are standardized across all iOS-powered products.[3] While the iPhone and iPad have essentially the same media player capabilities as the iPod line, they are generally treated as separate products. IQ Grocery One of the first things that I looked for when I got my Iphone was a grocery list application. I wanted one that was easy to use, easy to add to and was versatile. After a bit of trial and error I found one that I really like and use weekly and that is IQ Grocery. IQ Grocery can be downloaded through the App store for .99 cents. When you open the application you will see five icons at the bottom of the screen; list, favorites, store, coupons and others. IQ Grocery also offers coupons from Coupon.com, which you can clip and send wirelessly to your printer. or email the coupons and print them from there. There are a couple of things that I don’t like about IQ Grocery.

Geek News All things iPod, iPhone, iPad and Beyond Microsoft CES Keynote a Review I watched the Microsoft CES Keynote last night, on Ustream thanks to Cali Lewis of Geekbrief TV and I was not impressed. A little background, this is the first Microsoft Keynote I have watch. I have used Windows before, but I am presently a Mac user. First the whole speech seemed disjointed, it reminded me of a community play where someone gets pulled from the audience to play a part and they are a little too enthusiastic. All in all there was nothing announced at the Microsoft announced at the keynote that I said wow that’s something I just have to have.

[Geeks are Sexy] Technology News - We make technology sexy! Geekosystem.com | Geek Culture | Technology, Entertainment, Power Grid WSAZ Iphone Application Review WSAZ is the local TV station that services the Huntington and Charleston, WV area. I must admit that I don’t watch a lot of local news on TV. I usually only catch it when I can’t find the remote. However this doesn’t mean I am not interested in local news, I just don’t have the time or desire to sit in front of the TV at the same time every night. Unfortunately for local news I don’t think I am unique. It is a really good application and I use it daily. Basically it has got everything you need to follow local news.

Geeks to Go! – Free help from tech experts CPSR - Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility untitled Like many families now, it’s not unusual for everyone to be using the wi-fi network at home at the same time. Game consoles, tablets, media players and smart TVs all take their share of the data stream, and with the potential for multiple HD streams, the wireless takes a real hammering. In response to this demand, 11ac wireless uses dual frequencies and multiple antennae to get gigabit class data speeds, while still being backwards compatible with the older standards. Under the Archer brand, TP-Link have a range of 11ac routers and modems, starting with twin antennae 750 Mb/s Archer C2 up to the three antennae 1750 Mb/s Archer C7. At The Gadget Show, I caught up with Simon from TP-Link who told me a little about their design philosophy and what they’re aiming for with the new 11ac routers.
