PRESS RELEASES - Press release - Η Επιτροπή εγκαινιάζει το «Άνοιγμα της εκπαίδευσης» για την τόνωση της καινοτομίας και των ψηφιακών δεξιοτήτων σε σχολεία και πανεπιστήμια Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή Δελτίο τύπου Βρυξέλλες, 25 Σεπτεμβρίου 2013 Η Επιτροπή εγκαινιάζει το «Άνοιγμα της εκπαίδευσης» για την τόνωση της καινοτομίας και των ψηφιακών δεξιοτήτων σε σχολεία και πανεπιστήμια Πάνω από το 60% των παιδιών ηλικίας εννέα ετών στην ΕΕ φοιτούν σε σχολεία τα οποία δεν έχουν ακόμη ψηφιακό εξοπλισμό. Σήμερα η Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή παρουσιάζει το «Άνοιγμα της εκπαίδευσης», ένα σχέδιο δράσης για την αντιμετώπιση του θέματος αυτού και άλλων ψηφιακών προβλημάτων, τα οποία παρεμποδίζουν τα σχολεία και τα πανεπιστήμια να παρέχουν υψηλής ποιότητας εκπαίδευση και ψηφιακές δεξιότητες οι οποίες θα απαιτούνται για το 90% των θέσεων εργασίας έως το 2020.

Botkyrka kommun - Unik forskning om surfplattor i Botkyrkas förskolor Vad händer med barns och pedagogers lek och lärande när man köper in och börjar använda surfplattor i förskolan? Det vill Botkyrka kommun ta reda på och medverkar därför i forskningsprojektet AppKnapp – peka, lek och lär i förskolan. Tre förskolor i Botkyrka ingår i undersökningen. Susanne Kjällander, fil dr vid barn- och ungdomsvetenskapliga institutionen, Stockholms universitet, leder forskningsprojektet. Barnen utforskar tekniken – Jag tycker det är intressant att förskolor investerar i surfplattor utan att veta om det är bra eller vilken effekt det har på barnen. Därför kommer jag att titta på vad som händer när barn får tillgång till digitala verktyg och själva får utforska tekniken.

Home In iTEC (Innovative Technologies for Engaging Classrooms, 2010-2014), European Schoolnet worked with education ministries, technology providers and research organisations to transform the way that technology is used in schools. Over the course of the project, educational tools and resources were piloted in over 2,500 classrooms across 20 European countries, with the goal of providing a sustainable model for fundamentally redesigning teaching and learning. The project involved 26 project partners, including 14 Ministries of Education, and funding of €9.45 million from the European Commission’s FP7 programme. I’ve tested, rated, tried out, and put tons of educational iPad apps through their paces. Some are worthwhile, some are not worth your time. That’s why I was excited to read about a new study that attempted to figure out the actual effectiveness of iPad apps in learning. In a landmark study, a USC professor studied 122 fifth-graders from two schools and four math classes to assess the effectiveness of an iPad app for improving students’ fractions knowledge and attitudes.
