Heavenly Mashed Potatoes This amazing potato recipe is inspired by something we always had at my house growing up. We could call them heavenly potatoes because they were just that good. My favorite meal were these Heavenly Mashed Potatoes and honey ham. I would know, being from Idaho and all. Here is a weird side note. Recipe for Grilled Caprese Sandwich at Life Did you know that April is National Grilled Cheese Month? I had no idea such a thing existed but whomever decided to do that Thank you. Thank you because it gives us all a reason to celebrate the cheesy, gooey food comfort heaven that is the grilled cheese sandwich. Thank you because it gives me an excuse to enjoy all the ingredients of my favorite salad: mozzarella, basil, tomato and balsamic vinegar in sandwich form.

Roasted Garlic Pizza I had originally un-published this post as part of the purge but after repeated emails asking where the post went, I decided to re publish. Ever since I tried kickpleat's pizza dough recipe, we've had different pizzas probably once a week. Our favorite, however, is the roasted garlic. It's incredibly simple, very tasty, and deliciously inexpensive. You probably have all of the ingredients in your kitchen right now. Wishful Chef - Cooking Simple Foods & DrinksGreen Smoothies Archives » Wishful Chef If you haven’t had goji berries before, they are a great snack and also work really well in smoothies. They’re sweet, healthy and rich in antioxidants and Vitamin A. Make sure you soak the goji berries in water before blending. This will plump them up, release their juices and allows for easy blending.

Baked Cheesy Chicken Bake Today’s recipe is a cheesy baked pasta that I found over at Our Best Bites . Sara based the recipe on a Martha Stewart recipe. This yummy dish consists of a cheesy pasta blended with chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, and mushrooms. Now I know the sun-dried tomatoes aren’t something most of you probably keep on had, so you could just leave them out if you like. Then just up the amount of chicken or mushrooms by 1 cup or I was thinking some broccoli or asparagus tips would also work well in place of the tomatoes.

Garlic Noodles (updated 7-28-15) Today I made my first visit to our local Vietnamese grocery store where I picked up a couple basic sauces to add to my well stocked kitchen. One of the sauces I bought was an oyster sauce ($1.99 for 18 oz.) which is an excellent condiment for anything from noodles or rice to fish and meat. Oyster sauce gives these garlic noodles a little Asian flair and a lot of depth of flavor. The noodles also have a great balance of salty (from soy sauce) and sweet (from brown sugar) making them a great compliment to any main dish.

Vegan Pumpkin Pecan Cinnamon Rolls, Ginger Cream Cheese Glaze Ooey gooey, sticky sweet, moist and magical recipe to share. If you are in the mood for something decadent, a super special, indulgent morning (or after dinner dessert) treat, these vegan are for you. I want to dive into these vegan Cinnamon Rolls. Fork first. Spinach Pesto Grilled Cheese Sandwich Earlier on in the week, when I made the spinach, or spanakopita pesto pasta I made sure to keep some of the pesto left over for something new. I had come across the idea of using a pesto in a grilled cheese sandwich and it was the perfect time to try one. I have been experimenting with grilled cheese sandwiches for a while now. It all started when I first tried adding some jam to one then I moved on to chutneys and now it was time to try a pesto grilled cheese sandwich. Since the spinach pesto had some Greek flavours going on I decided to use a Greek cheese, graviera, in the sandwich. The spinach pesto sandwich with graviera was amazing!

Festive Romaine and Apple Green Smoothie with Cinnamon [This post is part of my Green Smoothie series] Ever heard of a green smoothie with cinnamon? No, neither have I! Kaytucky Chicken I have a really fun recipe for you! And easy, too. It’s hardly any work; the oven does the work for you, but it’s a really fun and tasty way to serve chicken for a change. Serve with an Avocado & Fennel Salad, lots of skillet baked potatoes and a little Green Peppercorn Sauce, but that’s mainly because I’m seriously addicted to how the sauce tastes on potatoes.

Man-Approved Spicy Oven Fries I have always been a big fan of baked potatoes. So it is no surprise that when I came across this lovely recipe my destiny had been sealed. Not only did I end up with a good amount of delicious fries that made both me and my man very happy, but during making of this dish I learned a few useful tricks. One of them is how to cut neat french fries. That is a precious trick that I will definitely cherish and use again. And the next trick I learned is how to make sure that your fries keep their shape and do not break while baking.

Vegan Recipes - Potato Skins Well, we finally moved into the new place and what better way to celebrate moving into a new home than whipping up some delicious happy hour inspired grinds? Honestly it seemed like we had been eating out or grabbing instant noodle type food for like 2 weeks because of our lack of refrigeration. And yeah, its not like these vegan potato skins are extra healthy or anything but they were delicious and they went great with a few cold beers. I think moving has got to be greatest diet ever.
