But not all words have the same job. For example, some words express "action". Other words express a "thing". We can categorize English words into 8 basic types or classes. Some grammar books categorize English into 9 or 10 parts of speech. It's quite important to recognize parts of speech. In this lesson, we have an overview of the eight parts of speech, followed by a quiz to check your understanding:

BBC Learning English - Learning English The Zero Conditional We can make a zero conditional sentence with two present simple verbs (one in the 'if clause' and one in the 'main clause'): If + present simple, .... present simple. This conditional is used when the result will always happen. The 'if' in this conditional can usually be replaced by 'when' without changing the meaning.
