Accelerating Future

Accelerating Future
There isn’t enough in the world. Not enough wealth to go around, not enough space in cities, not enough medicine, not enough intelligence or wisdom. Not enough genuine fun or excitement. Not enough knowledge. Not enough solutions to global problems. What we need is more . There is a bare minimum that we should demand out of the future. 1) More space 2) More health 3) More water 4) More time 5) More intelligence First off, we need more space . There is actually a lot of space on this earth.

PLoS Biology : Publishing science, accelerating research A Peer-Reviewed, Open Access Journal Current Issue PLOS Biology is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal featuring research articles of exceptional significance in all areas of biological science, from molecules to ecosystems. Futurology Moore's law is an example of futures studies; it is a statistical collection of past and present trends with the goal of accurately extrapolating future trends. Futures studies (also called futurology and futurism) is the study of postulating possible, probable, and preferable futures and the worldviews and myths that underlie them. There is a debate as to whether this discipline is an art or science. In general, it can be considered as a branch of the social sciences and parallel to the field of history. In the same way that history studies the past, futures studies considers the future. Futures studies (colloquially called "futures" by many of the field's practitioners) seeks to understand what is likely to continue and what could plausibly change.

Spiritual Transcendence in Transhumanism Spiritual Transcendence in Transhumanism V.R. Manoj, Research Scholar CES, Anna University Ray Kurzweil Raymond "Ray" Kurzweil (/ˈkɜrzwaɪl/ KURZ-wyl; born February 12, 1948) is an American author, computer scientist, inventor, futurist, and is a director of engineering at Google. Aside from futurology, he is involved in fields such as optical character recognition (OCR), text-to-speech synthesis, speech recognition technology, and electronic keyboard instruments. He has written books on health, artificial intelligence (AI), transhumanism, the technological singularity, and futurism. Kurzweil is a public advocate for the futurist and transhumanist movements, as has been displayed in his vast collection of public talks, wherein he has shared his primarily optimistic outlooks on life extension technologies and the future of nanotechnology, robotics, and biotechnology. Clear Thinking To Become A Genius Clear thinking might sound like an easy thing to accomplish, but very little of us can actually do it. When you develop clear thinking, not only will you appear to have a greater IQ, but you are closer to becoming a genius. If you develop clear thinking throughout your life, you will go much further than everybody else put together around you. The benefits are therefore life changing and cumulative in their effects. Developing clear thinking is very similar to developing genius-like intuitive thoughts in that both conditions are in fact natural.

Public Library of Science: Open Access The Case for Open Access Open Access (OA) stands for unrestricted access and unrestricted reuse. Here’s why that matters. Most publishers own the rights to the articles in their journals. Anyone who wants to read the articles must pay to access them. Anyone who wants to use the articles in any way must obtain permission from the publisher and is often required to pay an additional fee.

Methods of prospective > Softwares > Prospective softwares and toolbox : La prospective Six Problems, Six Tools Although strategic foresight is an intellectual “non-discipline” it nevertheless requires rigor and formalization, which clarify action and lead towards desired futures. The toolbox allows the strategist to ask the right questions and reduce incoherencies and uncertainties. Buddhism vs Transhumanism? (more) From the "Buddhism vs Transhumanism?" comments section Casey writes: Can you amplify your statement about Buddhism being concerned with "the optimization of subjective experience?"It seems to me that subjectivity, or the idea that there is a discrete "you" to futz with, is the first thing to be transcended through unconditioned acceptance.Take away the film, the projector and what do yo have?

Singularity Institute The Machine Intelligence Research Institute (MIRI) is a non-profit organization founded in 2000 to research safety issues related to the development of Strong AI. The organization advocates ideas initially put forth by I. J. Good and Vernor Vinge regarding an "intelligence explosion", or Singularity, which MIRI thinks may follow the creation of sufficiently advanced AI.[1] Research fellow Eliezer Yudkowsky coined the term Friendly AI to refer to a hypothetical super-intelligent AI that has a positive impact on humanity.[2] The organization has argued that to be "Friendly" a self-improving AI needs to be constructed in a transparent, robust, and stable way.[3] MIRI was formerly known as the Singularity Institute, and before that as the Singularity Institute for Artificial Intelligence. How It Works Increasing Fluid Intelligence Is 100% Possible Dr Robert Sternberg, Professor of Psychology, Yale and Tufts University. USA. Findings: Research has shown that testing IQ and intelligence quotient can fluctuate depending on various stimuli. The claim that IQ can't be increased as actually totally baseless, since improvements in fluid intelligence, which is the raw component of IQ, can be grown through working memory.
