WinFuture.de - Die ganze Welt der IT The Geek Stuff OMG! Ubuntu! We recently released typing game ‘OMG! Words’ and so far a lot of you seem to enjoy it – which, to continue overusing my catchphrase is ‘ace’. One thing I sorely forgot to include in our original announcment post was a video demo of the game. I’m going to correct that today with a shiny video demo on the OMG! Youtube channel and a retcon-embed in the old article. The review omits the (pretty sweet) music of the game in favour of a voice-over describing it – which is fair enough – and does an excellent job of showing off how it works, the neat OMG! Video below (available in 720p, too). Thanks darockero11!

Lucas Nussbaum’s Blog self-hosting my calendar, follow-up February 27th, 2014 by lucas Following my blog post on the topic, I played a bit with various options. But let’s explain my use case (which might be quite specific). I need to deal with three main sources of events: the Zimbra instance from my lab. Additionally, I follow some ICS feeds for some colleagues and other events. None of the web interfaces I looked at enabled me to (1) manage different calendars hosted on different CalDav servers; (2) subscribe to ICS feeds; (3) provide a CalDav interface to synchronize my phone. I ended up using a radicale instance for my personal calendar, which was extremely easy to set up. I switched to using IceDove with the Lightning add-on to manage all my calendars and ICS feeds. On my N900, I used syncevolution to synchronize my various CalDav calendars. I also wanted a way to export my calendars to colleagues (both in a “free/busy” version, and in a “full information” version). require 'agcaldav' require 'date' DebConf

Also neue Zeile, neues Glück.
