How to cut glass I posted a picture about 1 week ago on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter of me cutting glass using just string. I got LOT’S of requests for a tutorial on how I DID THIS! So here it is. Tuesday Tutorial: Paper Lantern Ornaments Want a cute, simple decoration that you can make in minutes? These paper lanterns are perfect for the upcoming holiday season or as an everyday decoration! What a great way to add color to a room or to your holiday table :) Make a bunch and string them together as a garland, or put a bunch in a bowl, or in a hurricane glass in a bathroom or guestroom. You could also mail them (flat, before unfolding them ;)) to a friend as a fun "Merry Christmas" gift with quick instructions on how to unfold them. I decided to use holiday paper, but was thinking these would also be fun as everyday decorations with leftover scraps of scrapbooking paper or found/vintage paper.

Natural Cancer Killer 10,000 Times Stronger than Chemo! The Sour Sop or the fruit from the graviola tree is a miraculous natural cancer cell killer 10,000 times stronger than Chemo. Why are we not aware of this? Its because some big corporation want to make back their money spent on years of research by trying to make a synthetic version of it for sale. So, since you know it now you can help a friend in need by letting him know or just drink some sour sop juice yourself as prevention from time to time. art crochet Style HaNi design: dress for beachFigure knitting braids Crafts for Spring : colorful hat, crochet pattern If you want to have any crochet products and translate patterns to English , please order, you can see more products in my shop. ready to POP shower Since we met, my friend Allison and I have been wanting to throw a party together. Our friend circles don’t overlap very much, but we are both good friends with Brittany, a dear friend (who is also an amazing photographer!) and pregnant with their first little one. We knew as soon as she told us she was expecting that we would be throwing her a shower together. Oh Snap! a camera and photography party I already mentioned that Jordan and I are nuts sometimes let our love of throwing parties together get the best of us. This shared hostessing bent is expressed in different ways- sometimes it means making elaborate Thanksgiving place settings, sometimes it means a windy, not-quite-finished Around the World party disaster (we haven’t put that story on the blog, but we should. Actually, it can be summed up in two words- party fail), and sometimes it means throwing two parties in eighteen days while I’m visiting the middleeast. The insanity enthusiasm has it’s benefits- like the Oh Snap! camera/photog party that we had a chance to throw for our friend Britt. Before I get started on the details, can I tell you how amazing Jordan is for throwing crazy-awesome parties without having access to any party supply stores, any regular supply stores, or Amazon?

Street Artist Paints Ghostly Shadows in Abandoned Psychiatric Hospital We love showing you street artists who push the boundaries of their art form, and Brazilian artist Herbert Baglione loves to deliver. When in Parma, Italy, Baglione took the opportunity to visit a local abandoned psychiatric hospital and fill it with shadows and phantoms from his wild imagination. The long, smoke-like shadows are part of his 1000 Shadows project, in which he has been painting similar silhouettes in different installations around the world. These in particular are especially powerful, as they call to mind the tortured psyches that once inhabited these now-abandoned halls. We’d love to see the look on someone’s face when they wander into this psych ward and discover these pieces without having known that they’re there. Source: instagram.com

10 Painting Tips & Tricks You Never Knew (Part Two) After sharing my paint secrets last month, I was so excited to find out how much ya'll loved them! Your enthusiasm reminded me that many of you are still learning just like I am....and I love that. I thought I would share a few more tips today, and hopefully answer a few questions that I frequently receive from readers. Some of these you might know, some you might not. Maybe you'll even have a few lightbulb moments like I did when I figured this stuff out. So, here are my 10 paint secrets...round two!

Eat Drink Chic » Archives ...we've had our fair share of cold and foggy winter mornings. Inside our home, however, I've been attempting to ramp up the colour! My current decorating project- our living room- is progressing slowly at the moment. Not too long ago we incorporated an Indian sideboard, with which I am completely smitten! I would love to create an artwork for above, but I'm struggling to decide what to do.

Faith47 Interview Rarely do North American audiences get the opportunity to see modern art, -mainly graffiti- from Africa. Recently I was granted the opportunity to interview Faith47, who is one of the emerging artists coming out of South Africa. Her work, found in galleries as well as townships -where even the most rugged North American artists (male and female) would dare not enter- takes the viewer beyond the South Africa we see on TV and into a land where despite much hardship a resilient people thrive. In this interview, we get discuss such topics as South Africa’s graffiti scene to musical influences to her love of language; as well as street art versus the canvas and even the notion of optimism.
