Puppy Linux Community - Home Joining Gemini Space and Reading Over Encrypted Connection Without Unnecessary Clutter Joining Gemini Space and Reading Over Encrypted Connection Without Unnecessary Clutter Summary: Gemini space (some spell it Geminispace) is expanding and software for browsing Gemini capsules (client/browser) has matured to the point where it’s very easy to join in, no matter what operating system one uses WITH over 100,000 page requests from 1,100 unique addresses ( in less than 4 weeks we’ve convinced ourselves that Gemini protocol isn’t a waste of time and isn’t a passing fad. It’s expanding. The Gemini space is still in a state of expansion. We see more articles about it, we see more articles in it, we see more people getting involved at various capacities (some compose pages, some code, some promote, and some contribute to the formulation of a future standard). We recognise the fact that many people are uninterested or even intimidated by Gemini because it’s new and scarcely understood. What is Gemini? More details are in the Official Gemini FAQ. Windows

Free Hard Disk Backup and Restore, Hard Disk Image and Cloning Utilities The hard disk and partition imaging software take a snapshot of your hard disk so that you can restore your system at a later time to the exact same state the system was when you imaged the disk or partition. This is useful for system recovery in case of a hard disk disaster. The term "image" is used because such software often copy the state of the hard disk sector by sector to your image. Hence if your hard disk was (say) defragmented with certain software occupying certain sectors when you backed up, it will be returned to that same state when you restore your backup. The image utilities often do not allow fine control what you backup - you can specify the partitions or hard disks to back up, but you usually will not be able to specify which folders to exclude or include. They are useful for backing up your system drive or partition, that is, the drive that you placed your operating system on. Pinguy OS Ventoy Choose a Strong Password From Wired How-To Wiki Your digital private life has a weak point that can unlock all your secrets: your password. Whether you use a single-sign-in solution like OpenID, or have separate passwords for every account, your accounts are only as secure as your passwords. Based on what limited data is available, the vast majority of us choose very poor passwords. While we admire the stab at security -- throwing a number in the mix -- in today's world that's not going to cut it. This article is a wiki. Size matters Some sites put restrictions on password length, but whenever possible try to choose the longest password you feel comfortable remembering. Don't rely on the dictionary Using a word may make your password easy to remember, but it also makes it vulnerable to a dictionary attack. Use numbers, capital letters and symbols Again, the less human readable the password, the greater the chances no one is ever going to guess it. Windows PE 2.0: a tiny version of Windows for system maintenance Few people know it but when you boot off the Vista install DVD you’re booting into a different version of Windows altogether: Windows PE 2.0. It’s based on the Vista kernel but it’s extremely compact. It provides read/write access to NTFS filesystems a wide range of 32- and 64-bit hardware drivers network connectivity and the ability to run both 32- and 64-bit applications. However stripped away from the Vista installer it’s also a very versatile tool for administrators. PE has actually been around since the release of XP but most administrators have avoided using it instead preferring more mature third-party management and installation tools. The newest version of Windows PE (version 2.0) is different. How to get Windows PE To use Windows PE 2.0 you need to get your hands on the Windows Automated Installation Kit (WAIK) which is a free download from Microsoft.
