Supplies t-shirts, 1 per pom pomscissorscardboard use round objects to trace circles onto cardboard to make 2 templates like those shown above. i used a roll of tape and my camera lens cap…. the diameter of the outer circle is 6.5″ and the diameter of the inner circle is 2.5″. you can play around with different template sizes to get different sized pom poms. cut your t-shirt into 1/2″ strips. i only used from the arm pits down on each shirt. . take one strip and one template and place strips as shown close to the inner circle. sandwich the strip by putting the other template on top. take a fabric strip and place on cardboard with the end even with the outer edge. continue winding the strips around the template until you reach the other side. Warning: this next step is messy. trust me.

Alors que les ampoules à filament disparaissent des étalages et de nos plafonds, j’ai découvert un procédé consistant à recycler ces chères « lightbulbs » en fin de vie pour se la jouer écolo et les transformer en terrariums déco’. Après quelques coups d’essai, voici mon tuto’ complet pour faire de même à la maison… 1. Le Matos Avant d’attaquer, il faut rassembler pas mal d’accessoires et d’outils pour mener à bien l’opération : la liste va s’avérer exhaustive pour ce qui est de la déco intérieure mais pour la transformation initiale, il faut prévoir : Une ampoule à vis (typiquement une 60W / 230v)Une rondelle métallique (d’au moins 2mm d’épaisseur) pour stabiliser l’amboulede la supergludu sable/terre, de la mousse stabilisée (qui n’a besoin ni d’eau ni de lumière) et tout autre accessoire deco (cailloux, bois…)Un tournevisUne pince à bec platUne pince longue et recourbée (pour placer les éléments de déco dans l’ampoule)Une paire de gants 2. Any yarn you wish to use. I’d recommend using one hook size down from the recommend hook size for your yarn. This pattern is written in UK terms. American terms are given below in bold. WRITTEN PATTERN: Abbreviated instructions can be found at the end of the tutorial. I'm quite pleased with how 'seamless' I managed to make these look. I like to start of these little puffs with a magic loop. So, assuming we've now all got a magic loop, let's begin. First of all, make 1 chain and then make 6 double crochets (dc) into the loop. Once that's done we need to close up the circle. So take the waste end of the yarn (not the one still attached to your yarn ball) and pull it up until the stitches form a circle. It should look like this (left pic). Cut your yarn and using your hook, pull the end of the yarn until the end comes through the stitch. Now we're going to just pull the end of the yarn through that first dc of the round. So now it should look like this. Now make 1 chain. Then make 1 more chain.

Well that’s a mouthful! So the time has come, it’s Pinterest Challenge time again! Every season Sherry from YHL and Katie from Bower Power throw a little link party to get people to stop pinning things and actually start making. This couldn’t have come at a better time because I have wanted to start this project forever and once Miss Kelly made her way into my kitchen I knew it was time to start it. This was the image I saw that sparked me to start saving my toilet paper rolls. I literally have been saving my rolls for. ever. Here’s what my toilet paper wall art turned into! Ok let’s get down to the nitty gritty. Next, I cut them up. Then, I took 4 pieces and glued them together using a hot glue gun. I continued doing this until I had about 40. Then I took the mirror I was going to use (10″ mirror purchased at Joann’s for $8) and placed it on the floor and started adding all the circles around keeping in mind that I wanted to keep it in a circle.
