thehungryllama Underlined Book Quotes Become Clever Illustrations Bookworm or not, you can't help but enjoy these black and white illustrations of literary quotes by Evan Robertson. The New York-based graphic designer has taken some of the cleverest lines written by famous authors such as William Faulkner and Oscar Wilde and turned them into wonderful posters. These literature-inspired fine art illustrations are currently being sold on Etsy under the name Obvious State. Robertson would see a "little jewel of a sentence" and he'd underline it. Then, he would take those "snippets of text and ideas" and "let the words be a springboard for an illustration." As he told Huffington Post, "The illustrations incorporate and interact with the text and hopefully add up to something that engages the mind as much as the eye." Here are 12 of our favorites. New All Terrain Vehicles on Display at Eurosatory 2010 Apart from the many armored vehicles at the show, quite a few high performance, all-terrain vehicles also made their first appearance at the show, these include the Sherpa Light from Renault Trucks, Ido Cohe'ns Zibar Mk 2, displayed by the Israeli company Hatehof and the Quad from HDT. Another vehicle promoted by Raytheon for this market segment is the HydRA, a hybrid electric vehicle offered specifically for covert, special operations. Another twist of the familiar ATV is the unmanned, all-terrain TAGS, making its first appearance as an autonomous combat vehicle, displayed by the Israeli UGV expert G-NIUS. He gave it up to produce low-budget math films on YouTube for free. Fortunately, hidden among his millions of loyal students, were the wealthiest of educational philanthropists, Bill Gates and the Google Foundation. Now, with a whole lot of cash and even more street cred, Khan aims to demote the institution of "school" to just one of many educational options. Beginnings Khan Academy, the YouTube open-course series, began as verbal contract with a 7th-grade girl. Since YouTube encouraged universal access, Khan thought “Why not? “Random people started watching it, and I started getting good feedback,” Khan tells Fast Company. The Success Factor and Company Growth To his amazement, the videos were far more popular than his dedicated tutoring sessions.
