Focus Sessions: Spiritual 5:26 I get this question a lot, so I thought I would do an entry... Tapping into intuition or psychic ability is unique to everyone, but I will share some of the things I see / get. I first want to say that everyone has a certain amount of ability, it just comes easier for some people to tune into it. The example I was given as I started to learn was everyone can sign, but some are natural opera singers while others really have to work at it. Some people are also better at certain things than others, for example, I have never resonated with channeling (I am fine with mediumship, but channeling feels too intense and I shut down), but for some people they may be so gifted in that area that they gravitate to it. The best way to enhance your intuitive ability and become one with yourself is to meditate. So, your intention is set and you let it go, then you blank yourself out (ie begin meditating) and focus on an image in your mind- it may be the sky, water or a color, and see what happens.

‘The Sixth Extinction,’ by Elizabeth Kolbert Photo (This book was selected as one of The New York Times Book Review’s 10 Best Books of 2014. For the rest of the list, click here.) Over the past decade, Elizabeth Kolbert has established herself as one of our very best science writers. Kolbert, a staff writer at The New Yorker, reports from the front lines of the violent collision between civilization and our planet’s ecosystem: the Andes, the Amazon rain forest, the Great Barrier Reef — and her backyard. Extinction is a relatively new idea in the scientific community. In the same way, and for many of the same reasons, many today find it inconceivable that we could possibly be responsible for destroying the integrity of our planet’s ecology. For example, we continue to use the world’s atmosphere as an open sewer for the daily dumping of more than 90 million tons of gaseous waste. The earth’s water cycle is being dangerously disturbed, as warmer oceans evaporate more water vapor into the air. Earth’s ice-covered regions are melting.

The Squatter Man (Squatting Man) / Tree of Life - Petroglyphs (rock art) seen as Plasma Discharges (High Current Z-Pinch) | carved drawings/images around the whole Earth The Squatter Man (Squatting Man) Petroglyphs | evidence of the Electric Universe The Squatter Man (Squatting Man or Stick Man) petroglyphs are an image recorded by nearly all races on all the continents back in the day. One day the ancients were painting colour rock art and then, nearly literally, they were painting strange white shapes and figures. Every one started at the same time with the same images. The discovery that objects from the Neolithic or Early Bronze Age carry patterns associated with high-current Z-pinches provides a possible insight into the origin and meaning of these ancient symbols produced by man. Anthony L. The Tree of Life image (one of the stages of the Plasma Instability) was seen and recorded in Malta on pottery and carvings showing the Squatting Man and Tree of Life. This is easy to test - look at images of petroglyphs (rock art carved into stone). This sample (part 2 of 3) of Symbols of an Alien sky shows the Squatter Man and the plasma discharge.

Male Scent May Compromise Biomedical Research Jeffrey Mogil’s students suspected there was something fishy going on with their experiments. They were injecting an irritant into the feet of mice to test their pain response, but the rodents didn’t seem to feel anything. “We thought there was something wrong with the injection,” says Mogil, a neuroscientist at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. The real culprit was far more surprising: The mice that didn’t feel pain had been handled by male students. Mogil’s group discovered that this gender distinction alone was enough to throw off their whole experiment—and likely influences the work of other researchers as well. “This is very important work with wide-ranging implications,” says M. Mogil has studied pain for 25 years. So he decided to take a closer look. Thinking back to his Paris Hilton experiment, Mogil wondered whether the rodents were responding to the sight of a woman or man or to something more subtle. Male odor could even influence human clinical trials.

the_dimka: codex seraphinianus in the late 70s italian architect, illustrator and industrial designer luigi serafini made a book, an encyclopedia of unknown, parallel world. it’s about 360-380 pages. it is written in an unknown language, using an unknown alphabet. it took him 30 month to complete that masterpiece that many might call “the strangest book on earth”. codex seraphinianus is divided to 11 chapters and two parts - first one is about nature and the second one is about people.btw five hundred years ago there was another book somewhat like that - voynich manuscript. take a look at some pages (click on image to see a bigger version) amazon sells those for 500 bucks or more you can read about it in wikipedia.i can’t even tell you how much i like stuff like that phat a? update 2 i ordered the book and it arrived. it is gigantic in size, thick and large. print, paper and binding quality is superb. they also insert a booklet - decodex, but it is in italian and i have not mastered that one yet.

How to Tell When Someone Is Lying On January 27, 2008, Penny Boudreau’s twelve-year-old daughter, Karissa, went missing in her hometown of Bridgewater, Canada. That afternoon, mother and daughter had had a fight in a grocery-store parking lot. They’d been having a “heart-to-heart” about “typical teen-age things,” Boudreau said. At 7:30 P.M., Boudreau, worried, called a few friends and teachers—none had heard a thing—and notified the police. On January 29th, the police station held a press conference. On February 9th, two weeks after her disappearance, Karissa was finally found. People lie all the time. We lie in most any context—Feldman’s work has turned up frequent lies in relationships ranging from the most intimate (marriage) to the completely casual. Many of us believe that we can tell when someone else is lying, and, over the years, a folklore has developed around the facial and physical cues that can give someone away. To ten Brinke, something about the existing narrative of deception didn’t quite make sense.

Addiction Today: EMPATHIC PEOPLE ARE NATURAL TARGETS FOR SOCIOPATHS – PROTECT YOURSELF The empathy trap: therapists and counsellors almost by definition are empathic, to facilitate clients’ recovery – but this quality can mean those carers are targets for sociopaths, aided by what Dr Jane & Tim McGregor call “apaths”. The first UK article on this cruel sport shows how to identify and thus avoid it. Print-friendly version:Download AddictionToday145-Sociopath-empath-apath-triad People targeted by a sociopath often respond with self-deprecating comments like “I was stupid”, “what was I thinking” of “I should’ve listened to my gut instinct”. But being involved with a sociopath is like being brainwashed. On initial contact, a sociopath will often test other people’s empathy, so questions geared towards discovering if you are highly empathic or not should ring alarm bells. Sociopaths make up 25% of the prison population, committing over twice as many aggressive acts as other criminals. But not all sociopaths are found in prison. James decided on a plan of covert bullying.

Young Blood May Hold Key to Reversing Aging Two teams of scientists published studies on Sunday showing that blood from young mice reverses aging in old mice, rejuvenating their muscles and brains. As ghoulish as the research may sound, experts said that it could lead to treatments for disorders like and heart disease. “I am extremely excited,” said Rudolph Tanzi, a professor of neurology at Harvard Medical School, who was not involved in the research. “These findings could be a game changer.” The research builds on centuries of speculation that the blood of young people contains substances that might rejuvenate older adults. In the 1950s, Clive M. Later, Dr. It later became clear that are essential for keeping tissues vital. In the early 2000s, scientists realized that stem cells were not dying off in aging tissues. “There were plenty of stem cells there,” recalled Thomas A. Dr. The scientists joined old and young mice for a period of five weeks and then examined them. Amy J. Dr. After parabiosis, Dr. Dr. Dr. Dr.

Here’s Why You Should Convert Your Music To 432 Hz “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” – Nikola Tesla “What we have called matter is energy, whose vibration has been so lowered as to be perceptible to the senses. There is no matter.” – Albert Einstein Tesla said it. The science of Cymatics illustrates that when sound frequencies move through a particular medium such as water, air or sand, it directly alters the vibration of matter. Water memory also illustrates how our own intentions can even alter the material world. We all hold a certain vibrational frequency, not to mention our bodies are estimated to be about 70% water… so we can probably expect that musical frequencies can alter our own vibrational state. With this concept in mind, let us bring our attention to the frequency of the music we listen to. 432 Hz is said to be mathematically consistent with the patterns of the universe. “The Solar Spectrum & The Cosmic Keyboard:

It's time to consider restricting human breeding Given the number of children that starve each day, dwindling planetary resources and the coming transhumanist era, it might be time to consider restricting human breeding, argues futurist Zoltan Istvan in this guest post A few years ago, I was at a doctor party, the kind where tired residents drop by in their scrubs, everyone drinks red wine, and discussion centres around medical industry gripes. I wandered over to a group of obstetricians and listened in. One tall blonde woman said something that caught my attention: with 10,000 kids dying everyday around the world from starvation, you'd think we'd put birth control in the water. The controversial idea to restrict or control human breeding is not new. For most people in the 21st Century, however, the idea of restricting the right to have offspring for any reason whatsoever seems blatantly authoritarian. One of the most comprehensive works about the idea of restricting breeding is Peg Tittle's book Should Parents be Licensed?

Microscopic computing in cells and with self-assembling DNA tiles One of the three goals of natural algorithms is to implement computers in non-electronic media. In cases like quantum computing, the goal is to achieve a qualitatively different form of computing, but other times (as with most biological computing) the goal is just to recreate normal computation (or a subset of it) at a different scale or in more natural ways. Of course, these two approaches aren’t mutually exclusive ! To start, it is important to understand what cells can already compute. Moving to more complicated macromolecules, Jack Lutz — the 6th speaker on the 1st day — introduced us to Erik Winfree’s (1998) model of self-assembly by DNA tiles. Rebecca Schulman — the 6th speaker on the 2nd day — focused more closely on experimental realization and applications in biology and engineering. Note : this is the fourth blogpost of a series ( 1 , 2 , 3 , and 4 ) on the recent workshop on Natural Algorithms and the Sciences at Princeton’s Center for Computational Intractability .
