Online Borders and Accessibility | Online Borders An accessible website puts people at the centre by considering how the site will be used at all stages of the design and development process. The Online Borders website follows the 4 ‘POUR’ principles of making content accessible. Perceivable Content Content must not be “invisible” to all of the user’s senses. For example, ‘Alt tags’ are added to images to explain them to a user with a screen reader and text versions of content are provided alongside the mapping feature. Operable Content The user interface cannot require actions that users cannot perform. Understandable Content Users must be able to understand the information and operation of components. Robust Content The content and interface must be understandable, operable and accessible through widely-available technologies and remain so as technologies advance. The Community Website content is created by many different editors, some of whom are volunteers.

Commonly Used CSS Classes and HTML | Ning 3 Help Ning 3.0 networks come with the ability to be customized in the Design Studio with pre-set customization options. Things you can do in there that weren’t possible in the past include things such as setting the opacity of a color or image, as well as hiding the network name or fixing a background image’s position on the page. For people interested in even further fine-tuned designs, the Custom CSS panel in the Design Studio is the place to go to make these changes. While your network is a hands-on, do-it-yourself affair, this article explains some common selectors (classes, for the most part) that live on Ning 3.0 networks. Please note this page is meant to be complimentary and introductory to understanding the CSS anatomy of Ning 3.0 networks alongside counterparts in Ning 2.0 networks. For folks coming from Ning 2.0 networks, this should also help associate some of the classes you see there with their corresponding partners (if those exist) in Ning 3.0. Width HTML Structure Span
