HEMSLEY + HEMSLEY - healthy food, recipes and lifestyle

45 Dairy-Free Paleo Ice Cream Recipes Conventional ice cream is definitely a no-go on Paleo. Store bought ice cream is loaded with non-Paleolithic items like milk, sugar, and cream, and that’s if you go with a brand that doesn’t add a lot of extras like corn syrup or whey protein. But don’t fret if you love ice cream, because there are plenty of Paleo chefs out there that have come up with workarounds for ice cream that doesn’t contain these unauthorized items, and keeps it Paleo friendly so you can enjoy it without feeling like you’re cheating or going off course. Boozy Christmas Cake (Paleo Fruit Cake) - My Heart Beets Boozy Christmas Cake (Paleo Fruit Cake) This Boozy Christmas Cake is AMAZING. It’s a sweet rum cake filled with my homemade tutti frutti, golden raisins, pistachios and dates. There are also spices like cardamom, cloves and ginger. There’s even some organic apple juice to help add more sweet fruity flavor. Fruit cake has such a bad rep, which is why I’m calling this Boozy Christmas Cake instead. Double Dark Chocolate Coconut Macaroon Tart (vegan, gluten-free, grain-free) Halloween week without chocolate is simply a crime. We must fill our quota! Luckily, I have the perfect solution.. After teasing you with this dessert the other week (and seeing you lose your mind over it) I figured I better deliver the goods. I set a lofty goal of making this chocolate pie as friendly to as many different dietary needs as I could. I always love a good challenge in the kitchen; it keeps me on the brink of crazy town. In addition to being vegan, this pie is also gluten-free, grain-free, and nut-free. It’s also free of self-control because it’s impossible to have any when this pie is near. Halloween chocolate quota fulfilled. After drowning myself in chocolate, I’m absolutely thrilled with the final result. And of course, let’s not forget HALLOWEEN. Tip: I had major trouble with the pie crust sticking to the dish in an early trial. Ok enough chit chat.
