When do you get your best ideas? Brain science tells us there are three kinds of intuition: ordinary, expert, and strategic. Everyone knows you need creative thinking, or entrepreneurial thinking, or innovative thinking, or strategic thinking to succeed in the modern world. Over the past ten years, William Duggan has conducted pioneering research on strategic intuition and for the past three years has taught a popular course at Columbia Business School on the subject. Three kinds of strategic ideas apply to human achievement: * Strategic analysis, where you study the situation you face * Strategic intuition, where you get a creative idea for what to do * Strategic planning, where you work out the details of how to do it. There is no shortage of books about strategic analysis and strategic planning. Related Subjects Business Series

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA NOSES - Page 1 of 4 The mission of this blog was always simple: shine a spotlight on God’s noses. Noses are an issue that affects 99% of us. And while I won’t say that the 1% without noses are categorically evil, they are. Or Godless at the very least. To every 16 year-old begging their rich parents for a nose job…stop. I’d like to thank the following people: In closing, Steve Jobs is gone, which thankfully proved once and for all that genius is fleeting. "the holistic experience that people feel when they act with total involvement" (Csikszentmihalyi, 1975: 36) “… flow – the state in which people are so involved in an activity that nothing else seems to matter; the experience itself is so enjoyable that people will do it even at great cost, for the sheer sake of doing it.” (Csikzentmihalyi, 1991) "A sense of that one’s skills are adequate to cope with the challenges at hand in a goal directed, rule bound action system that provides clear clues as to how one is performing. Csikszentmihalyi (1975) originally identified four flow components: control; attention; curiosity; intrinsic interest. 2 Instruments to measure flow Lloyd P. under construction !

He's back! Sheen's returning to TV with new sitcom George Pimentel / Getty Images Charlie Sheen is officially coming back to TV. Lionsgate announced on July 18 that the actor will star in a new sitcom called "Anger Management." By Anna Chan, TODAY Yup, all those earlier reports you read about Charlie Sheen's return to the small screen turned out to be mostly true. It was announced Monday morning that as TMZ and Radar previously reported, the actor will be working with Lionsgate and its subsidiary Debmar-Mercury to bring the sitcom "Anger Management" to television. But Sheen won't just be acting -- he'll have a significant ownership stake in the new show. "I chose 'Anger Management' because, while it might be a big stretch for me to play a guy with serious anger management issues, I think it is a great concept," Sheen said in a statement. Roth and Sheen worked together on the films "Major League," "The Three Musketeers" and three others. "Anger Management" does not yet have a network attached.
