PRINCE2 Foundation Candidates please read the following carefully before proceeding: The Foundation level is the first of the two PRINCE2 examinations you are required to pass to become a PRINCE2 Practitioner. The exam is based on the 2009 edition of Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2. This exam is designed to measure whether you would be able to act as an informed member of a project team using the PRINCE2 method within a project environment supporting PRINCE2. The exam format is as follows: Multiple choice 75 questions per paper5 questions to be trial and not counted in scores35 marks required to pass (out of 70 available) - 50% 1 hour duration Closed book. As the CO's manual reminds us in its forward, ‘Today, complex projects often involve several organisations working together in partnership or through contractual agreements to achieve the objectives. PRINCE2® provides a common language between organisations and with external suppliers. It also allows a focus on the Business Case, providing a mechanism to define what the project is trying to achieve, and the rationale and business justification for it.’ At the end of the course a 2½-hour multiple choice test takes place which leads to the sought after PRINCE2® Practitioner certificate. We believe that any academic institution wishing to advance computational and data science needs to first examine its status in three areas: cyberinfrastructure facilities, support for interdisciplinary research, and computational culture and expertise (Figure 1).
