Against the backdrop of LA Plaza, historical structures and greenways will merge into the city streets themselves, paralleling the endemic emergence of street art as an artistic form that continues to shape and inspire artists and city-dwellers alike. What is Urban Art? Enjoy a day in the city center of one of the world’s most energetic and complex metropolises with the artists who shape and inspire its landscape. This outdoor event is free to the public though donations are welcome. Featured participants and artists include live painting by Abcnt, Chor Boogie, Codak, Cryptik, Hans Haveron, and Mear One; performance by Amy Kaps and Sheron Wray, and site specific installation with Jennifer Vanderpool; Ketchup Soup; Mileece; SPARC, and others.
