Coolest. Stage. Ever Nov 29, 2010 Check out this incredible floating stage on Lake Constance in Bregenz, Austria. The Bregenzer Festspiele (Bregenz Festival) has become renowned for its unconventional staging of shows. Verdi’s opera, “A Masked Ball” in 1999, featured a giant book being read by a skeleton.

53 by Chad Hurd Justice Served Sohmer — October 31st, 2010 This is just one more reason why the X-men would never have been assembled in today’s society. I would like to thank the mainstream media for their contribution to the mass paranoia we all know and love. Today’s page was done by the very talented Chad Hurd: Chad Hurd is a Maine native and is currently battling the heat of the deep south in Atlanta, Georgia. The Gashlycrumb Tinies BACK TO THE FUTURE : Irina Werning - Photographer I love old photos. I admit being a nosey photographer. As soon as I step into someone else’s house, I start sniffing for them. Fashion Inspiration: Circular Beauty Looking at the artwork of a friend of mine, I started thinking about how his work related to the fashion and style around us. Clint Colburn is a Lexington based artist known for using circles of all sizes to create a larger harmony within a larger picture. This works the same within the fashion realm. Each component works in harmony with the other components, resulting in a larger piece or product. Clint Colburn: Super Vision Left Roy Lichtenstein also used this notion of circular, harmonious beauty: If you look close enough, it’s all around us in everyday things: Examples of this harmony in shapes have been found within the fashion world for centuries. Spin these circular and scalloped shapes into your own wardrobe with the Scallop Skirt Dress from Topshop ($135), also available in pink: Or try the Circle Organza Dress in lilac. All different shapes surround us every day, everywhere we are, creating a sense of harmony.

cole rise One Dollar Bill Art by Atypyk Two brilliant French artists, Ivan Duval and Jean Sebastien Ides, show us how to have fun with one dollar bill. Glass-bottom boats are nothing new on scenic tours, but with a see-through canoe you can go wherever you want and have a personal up-close view of whatever is below you. Lighter than a wood or aluminum canoe, tough as bullet-proof glass and entirely transparent on the bottom, these designs provide a completely new way to experience water life around you. It gets better: the kayak equivalent to the transparent canoe is a carbon kevlar frame design that has a military-grade transparent urethane skin – and it folds up small enough to carry with you in a backpack. Whether you choose the canoe or kayak these are both ideal for wide ranging travels and potentially challenging water conditions as well as brief vacation jaunts.
