Pour ma part, j'ai toujours été fasciné par la manière dont Davil Gemmel décrivait les combats dans ses romans : rapides, incisifs, brutaux, violents... En quelques mots, il réussit admirablement bien à vous immerger dans la bataille, que ce soit un duel ou un combat de masse. Après chaque lecture de Gemmel, je me ruais vers mes joueurs afin de les mettre en situation de combattre, espérant réussir aussi bien que lui à décrire les passes d'armes...
