...love Maegan : Fashion, DIY, Home, Lifestyle: Partial French Braid with Cascading Hair ~ Tutorialalso known as the "Waterfall Braid" ~ Los Angeles
I’m not the originator of this hair style but I’ve gotten so many requests for it, I thought I’d give it a go for you. I don’t know what it’s called either so I haven’t researched it and/or found any other tutorials for it …thus, this is my version of it, and I’ve dubbed it the Partial French Braid w/ Cascading Hair. The photos I’ve seen online show the braid a little more straight across the back of the head and mine sort of braids at an angle, similar to my side/low french braid up-do. I’m sure this is 100% easier to do on someone else’s hair than your own but it goes pretty quickly once you get the hang of it …I mean, it’s my shortest hair video tutorial to date. That’s gotta mean something, right Enjoy. Note: Apologies in advance for the yelling of “NOOOO” towards the end, where I momentarily fear I’m going to lose my entire braid and have to start over. Have Fun! Find all my Hair Tutorials Here.

How To Put Your Hair Up In A Cute Bun Comb your hair carefully to eliminate any tangles or knots.Take some hair from the top of your head. 3. Tie off this hair with a hair elastic. 4. Don't pull off the ends. No-heat curls tutorial First, get ready for bed by putting your husband's ratty t-shirt on, removing all makeup, and applying your nightly eye cream. That actually has nothing to do with the hair tutorial, I just thought I'd preface my appearance in these photos. Please excuse. Hair needs to be damp. I use root boost and thickening gel to give my hair some texture since it is very fine and has a hard time holding curl. Secure an elastic headband around the top of your head. Tiny Polaroid Magnets Hi there! It’s felt like forever since I’ve last blogged, and has felt like an eternity since I’ve done anything crafty and nifty. Since my morning sickness has gone into full speed (yes, we’re expecting our third this fall!) I haven’t felt like myself. But nothing like inspiration to wake one out of a reverie — or nightmare, in my constantly sick state. I came across these DIY Pantone chip magnets on How About Orange and wanted to do something similar.

Yesterday she came in and we photographed these simple step by steps. Kelsie has extremely long and thick hair, but anyone with shoulder length or longer can do these braids (see my photo below for an example).

The Beauty Department - Hair Recently I realized that we’ve never really had a specific chat about hair serums. There are so many different formulas from silicone-based, to alcohol free, to natural, to curl enhancing, etc… All of them promise to deliver mega shine on the driest, dullest hair. But there’s more to it than that. I thought it would be fun to break down 8 of my favorites (each being my jam for a different reason), tell you what I’ve experienced with each and tell you who I would recommend them for. 5 Easy Things You Can Do to Change the World "I can change the world... with my own two hands." ~ Ben Harper I’ve been limiting my news intake these days. Some may say it’s escapism, but an hour spent watching current events is enough to drive anyone into depression. War, global warming, domestic violence, economic turmoil, and everything in between -- it seems nothing is right in the world these days. It’s easy to feel powerless about our sad state of affairs. How-To: The Cascade/Waterfall Braid The waterfall braid also known as the cascade braid recently exploded as the new "trend braid" of the season. The waterfall effect looks cool and complex, but it's easier to style than you think. Give this beautiful braid a try when Beautylish takes you through the how-to! Section Off

Hair Inspiration: Double Braid Gibson Tuck Tutorial I am growing out my bangs and it's getting awkward. No matter what I do with my hair, I have to work in a good way to sweep too-long bangs out of my face. After last week's hair inspiration post, I started playing around with a few styles. I came up with this look, which ingeniously pulls my bangs back while looking pretty fantastic, if I do say so myself. hair tutorial We haven't done a hair tutorial in ages!
