Banksy Goes To The Olympics And Challenges London Authorities [4 High Quality Photos] In an effort to clean up London’s graffiti city authorities have threatened to power wash any Olympics-related graffiti that shows up during the games. Sensing a growing controversy secretive artist Banksy challenged the authorities the only way he knows how, by daring the city to carry out it’s threat on two new piece he created and posted on his website. Banksy is one of London’s most well-known artists and his creations sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars so it will be interesting to see what the city decides to do. Computer Man-Caves That Make This Writer Drool And Cry Steven On May 14, 2012 Ever since I first managed to start using a dual monitor setup I was hooked and really couldn’t see myself returning for any long period of time to some piddly laptop or tablet screen especially considering my workflow. There are time that I wish I could even expand beyond those two monitors but that probably won’t happen for some time. So, like you I will have to make do with this awesome collection of computer man-caves with screens galore and make sure my drool towel is close at hand. Achieving a Vintage Look Through Color Tones in Photoshop CS by Guest Contributor Anna Gay Photographers are often striving for a “vintage” look in their photos, and even though there are endless ways of achieving a vintage look, there are a couple of characteristics to keep in mind. First of all, the color tones in a vintage photo often lean towards either a blue or a red hue, or a cross-processed look. Vintage photos also have an element of noise or grain that can be achieved through textures, and also a certain amount of vignetting around the edges of the photo. In this tutorial, we will look at adjusting color tones and adding vignettes. This photo is the result of adjusting the color curves, adding two vignettes, and a color fill, which we will walk through step-by-step. First, open your photo in Photoshop and make sure your foreground color is set to white in your side tool bar. You will see the above dialogue box. As you can see here, there should be three layers – your Background image, then your two gradient layers.

Rainbow Thread Art (8 pics) Though we can appreciate Gabriel Dawe's beautiful thread art by just looking at these pictures, we're certain that these photos will never quite do them justice. In fact, we can imagine ourselves walking around these rainbow prisms and just getting lost. I asked Dawe to tell us what he hoped others got out of his artwork including what they represent. "Conceptually, these works are about the human need for shelter," he tells us. "Fashion and architecture have many functions, but one thing they both share is that they protect us from the elements. I'm taking the main material that clothing is made out of—thread—to make an architectural structure. "Ultimately, what I want to give the viewers is an experience with light and color.
