I'm actually really excited about this one, because I've been meaning to address this topic for a LONG time now. One question that I get asked over and over again is... PS: You can also find the #15 font here: Circus Font Summertime Designs: Conversation Cards I had made these Conversation Cards for the young women at my church to be able to take home to their families to use around the dinner table. Some people had seen it on my personal blog and wondered if they could get copies. So here they are. They were created as 4x6 images, so you can take them to wherever you go to get regular pictures developed (I recommend choosing either a lustre or matte finish and NOT the glossy because with glossy people's fingerprints will get on them). When I created these, I hadn't planned on posting them ever on the internet so I didn't really pay attention to whose kits I was using. The Girl Creative: Valentine’s Subway Art {Free Printable} For the longest time, the walls in my living room were pretty bare and I just kept drawing a blank as to what to do with them. Over Christmas break, my husband mounted our tv which got me in the mood to start decorating. Doing that one thing really made a bit difference in our living room. We bought a media console to go under it and our living room was finally starting to come together and I knew that I had found a home for some Valentine subway art to display. On Thanksgiving I had asked my dad to build me a mantle shelf for the wall opposite the tv. Here’s what I got Christmas Eve (I was like a little kid on Christmas morning!) The candle sticks I picked up at Burlington for $9.99 (total bargain). The text on the Valentine subway art is from 1 Corinthians 13, the love chapter. And how about another view…. {i since removed the “laugh” sign after looking at these pictures but I’m loving the look of this shelf.} UPDATE: A few of you had trouble when printing.

the red kitchen: Christmas Tally (and a free printable) M is for Merry Christmas! Christmas presents finished: almost all Christmas presents left to finish: two Christmas presents left to think of: one I really hope that tally is right. Because it would mean we're almost done! To celebrate my joy in this matter, I would like to share with you all another little printable banner I made. Merry Christmas Banner from Notes From A Very Red Kitchen made by Katie Lewis copyright 2010 To put this banner together just follow the same directions as the Halloween banner. This one will probably go inside a wreath on our front door, but I think it would also be fun in a kids room, across a dollhouse, on the fridge, across a bookshelf, or someplace else small that maybe you wouldn't usually decorate. And, just as a disclaimer, the colors look the way I meant them to look on here, but when I printed them off the red was more of a brick red and the green was more of a spring grass green. Terms of use: For personal use only.

Tortoise and the Hare My first little project I wanted to share was my pretty Christmas jars. I have sort of had an obsession this Christmas with anything bottlebrush - trees, wreaths, etc. It all started with a bottlebrush wreath that I bought at my favorite store in Utah, The Busy Biddy. I began looking at tons of pictures from different blogs and then became offically crazy. With this project, I really just wanted to do something super simple (obviously these little jars and trees could be totally bedazzled) that just showed off mini bottlebrush trees covered in snow. I found all of my trees at Hobby Lobby for super cheap.
