Solid Shea Butter Sugar Scrub Cube Recipe

Solid Shea Butter Sugar Scrub Cube Recipe
Solid Sugar Scrub Cubes have become the new trend and are now taking the place of traditional sugar scrubs. One of the main reasons is that these scrubs are in a solid form so there’s no separation and less mess. It also means it’s less likely that you will transfer water into your sugar scrub during usage since you are simply removing one or two cubes at a time for use and then resealing the container before use. While there are a handful of recipes for solid sugar scrubs floating around, I came up with my own recipe that I’d like to share with you. It’s not greasy when applied and easy to make. It’s also gotten a lot of great feedback from my customers who shop with me online at Rebecca’s Soap Delicatessen. Here’s what some of my customers have had to say about my Solid Shea Butter Sugar Scrub Cubes: Cucumber Solid Shea Butter Sugar Scrub CubesMy mother LOVES this!!! Natural Lavender Solid Shea Butter Sugar Scrub CubesThese are the most amazing bath item I have ever used. Ingredients:

Oleander and Palm: Orange Rosemary Salt Scrub I'm hearing a lot of talk of snow, it's definitely not here though. We are having a very mild Winter, whom am I kidding, it's always a mild winter here. It might not be very cold but we definitely have dry Winter air. I'm feeling and seeing the effects of the dry air on my skin. I often look at my hands and am embarrassed by how old they look. I searched the web looking for salt and sugar scrub recipes, and most require essential oils. Orange Rosemary Salt Scrub 1 cup salt zest of one orange 1tsp. rosemary leaves taken off the stem 1/3 cup olive oil In a food processor, place the orange zest, rosemary and salt. I'm storing my scrub in my new Weck jar. So, are you enjoying Winter or are you already longing for warmer weather?

5 Natural Ways to Remove Blackheads You know how, if your pants fall down just a little tiny bit when you’re leaning over and a millimeter of your crack shows? A MILLIMETER? Everyone can see that. Everyone sees it. Even the men in the space station. Blackheads are not like that. Still, they’re annoying. Let’s make that happen. Blackheads are just pimples that don’t have skin over them. All you have to do is clean out your pores, and the blackheads are gone. If you’re prone to blackheads, I have some good and bad news for you. The good news is, people with oily skin and large pores don’t wrinkle as quickly (because our skin is VERY good at replenishing the oils). 1. There are so many things you can use to exfoliate and remove blackheads with. Right now. My favorite is: Especially for oily skin and getting rid of blackheads. You could also use: Baking soda and water, lemon juice and sugar, or salt and sour cream. How you do it: Simply combine your “scrubby” ingredient with your liquid/wet ingredient until you have a thin paste.

Tutorial: Skin Brightening Kiwi Mask Some white stuff is falling today. It’s not a blizzard but its enough to make the snow plow guys to come through my streets several times throughout the day. I think they were bored this winter and were probably more excited about the snow than my daughter! But truth be told – We NEED snow in the winter to nourish the earth. Warm winters are never good for the planet or our immune system ( ) so as inconvenient as cold brutal winter weather might seem to our lives, we do need cold winters and the snow. Having said though, cold weather also means dry dull skin. And among many skin moisturizing mask recipes, like my Moisturizing Avocado Face Mask , for some reason, kiwi sounds like it’s just what we need in the winter too – maybe because cold winters remind us how much we crave hot tropical weathers where kiwi fruits come from? I know kiwi is not exactly in season or local but sometimes I crave potent Vitamin C. *The knife looks grimly big in this picture. Sking Brightening Kiwi Mask

Homemade body scrub by Cybele Rubadubdub scrubbing the body is a big part of the health kick we’re on, because the skin is one of the body’s excretory organs. Nice thought… The rubbing action gets the blood moving and hopefully releases the super stubborn toxins, whilst taking dead skin cells off the surface so the toxins can exit stage left with the greatest of ease. All those words so I could avoid saying ‘it makes it easier to sweat out the crap’. Dreary me. Epsom Salt There are a couple of reasons why I used Epsom salt and it’s not because my grandma used to take it to keep herself regular, nor because The Wall Street Journal recommends using it to remove splinters, bee stings and other things. The Body Scrub recipe: 2 cups olive or coconut oil and 1 teaspoon of lemon essential oil or 2 cups of this lemon oil and next time I’m going to try it with my new lavender oil 2/3 cup honey 3-4 cups Epsom salt Mix all the ingredients together, if your honey is quite runny you made need to add more salt. Vanilla Sugar Body Scrub - freutcake For years I worked as the manager of a day spa here in California, and while it was quite the stressful job, there were many obvious benefits that came with it! Now a days I dream of the luxuries of body scrubs, facials and waxing. Oh, how the grass is always greener! {photos by Freutcake} Vanilla Olive Oil Sugar Scrub 1/2 cup granulated (white) sugar 2 cups Turbinado sugar (sugar in the raw) 1 Tablespoon honey 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil 1 Tablespoon Vanilla extract (or your favorite essential oil) Directions: Combine the two sugars in a bowl and mix to incorporate. * This is a coarse scrub, if you would like a more gentle scrub you can substitute brown sugar for the turbinado sugar. * Always exfoliate before shaving to prevent irritation and achieve a better shave. * You may add more olive oil to your jar after packing if you desire a different consistency. * Oil will settle in the jar so stir before using. * I do not recommend using this scrub on your face.

DIY Rosemary Foot Soak & Olive Oil Scrub So I got this crazy thought, that it might be nicer for me (and my fellow gym-goers) if my feet got a little extra attention. You know, every once in a while. I find it really challenging doing anything to my feet during winter, since they're tightly shoved into boots all the time anyway. So, I've noticed a few articles about using epsom salt in foot soaks, and started digging. My feet feel so happy right now, why don't you give it a go? (The epsom salt package says not to use it in a foot bath in some cases, read the package!) How to: First, make the scrub! The soak: Boil a few branches of rosemary in water for a couple of minutes. Slice up 2 lemons in whatever it is you're using as the "bath" for your feet. Add 1/2 cup of epsom salt. Soak feet for 15 minutes; read a magazine, surf the amazing treasures at Pinterest or watch your favorite show. Dry off a bit, and then go over your rough patches with a pumice stone (I used the Bathery's Luxury Pumice Stone). Rinse. Done!

How to take a milk and honey bath: Pour 1-2 cups of milk (or 1/2 c. full-fat powdered milk) and 1/2 c. honey under running, warm water. For full effect, brush your skin lightly and in circular motions with a dry brush or a washcloth before getting in the bathtub.
