Tape trick-for perfect winged liner Happy Monday to ya….hope y’all had a fabulous weekend!!! A few posts ago, I made reference to something I call “the tape method” and I said that I would do a follow up showing how to do it. Well…it is super easy and I probably just could have easily explained it using my words–but who doesn’t like pictures to go with? This is simply going to show you another way to apply winged liner if you have a difficult time getting a “perfect” wing or if you don’t have steady hands. Products Used: Tape and Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Liner in “Blackest Black”. Step 1: Apply a piece of tape underneath the eye so that it is pointed towards the end of the brow. Step 2: Apply your gel liner to the upper lash line from the inner corner to the end of your eye….don’t worry if it is a little messy-we are just getting the base and will even it out later. Step 3: Remove the tape. and this:

Buttons, buttons everywhere!! Materials: Buttons, Clippers, Glue, Rings With Flat Tops (available at the jewelry supply store) Use your clippers to remove the shank from the back of the button. Once you’ve made the back of the button flat, use an ample amount of glue to secure the ring to the back of the button. Here’s another hint: If you can’t find a flat ring base, Ring Pops are a fun alternative. Once the base has dried, glue on the button. I now thing I have enough new statement rings to get me through the month.

My hair is pretty straight and fine naturally and I always let it air dry. Since I go about three days between washes, I like to curl it on the first day and let it mellow out into some nice waves over the next two. Let's get started! If your hair doesn't hold curl very well then you may want to put a palmful of curling mousse in it when it is halfway dry. (though I want to upgrade to one of the fancy new ones from Sultra soon!) When I'm done curling the bottom section, I mist it with Bumble and bumble Spray de Mode and comb through the curl with my fingers. Ahh!! If you want to dress it up a little, you can do a braided headband look! Find a spot on the opposite side of your head and pin it so that it blends in naturally with the rest of your hairstyle.
