Pressure increases on “World’s Saddest Zoo” after Animals Asia report Petition requesting closure is launched as Grandview Aquarium makes international headlines and is beset by bad publicity after official opening. Millions more were reached by subsequent reports by the Washington Post, Inside Edition and the influential South China Morning Post. Housed in a shopping mall, the "zoo" includes two white bears — billed as polar bears but more likely polar bear–brown bear hybrid – five walrus calves, six young beluga whales and two Arctic wolves in woefully inadequate space.
