Phooey Architects: Children`s Activity Centre, Melbourne, Australia - design top news Phooey Architects: Children`s Activity Centre, Melbourne, Australia June 25th, 2009 - Posted in Architecture Design Children’s Activity Centre was designed by Phooey Architects located in Melbourne, Australia. The form and aesthetics were generated by sustainable strategies aimed at zero waste. When the four re-used containers were joined in a staggered arrangement, intimate and public spaces were created for a variety of functions including study, painting, dancing and lounging about. Each container was oriented to produce visual and physical connections to surrounding playground spaces. As a process of feedback design, the container off-cuts (with cannibalised super scale graphics) were recycled into the final building.

Récemment, ces derniers ont été honorés du « Design Award pour le projet, à San Antonio ». Il n’y a pas photo, cette maison montre bel et bien qu’importe les origines du produit (ici le container), cela peut devenir une maison chic et moderne. Franchement, en regardant cette maison qui penserait que ces boîtes étaient destinées au transport de marchandises, avec à l’intérieur du chocolat ou des sacs de farine ?
