Everyone wants to save money Do you want to save some money on the size of the storage unit that you need? Make sure that you pack smartly. Getting the right size storage unit at the right price is very important. There is no reason to pay more for a space if you can comfortably fit everything you need into a smaller one. One of the tips I let everyone know is that if you use the same type of boxes to pack your storage unit, you’ll likely be able to stack them efficiently and securely in the unit. It is very important for you to make sure that the boxes you have chosen are of high quality and proper dimensions. Proper marking on the package is also important. If you have to visit your storage facility for any reason, ensure that you move everything that you need to the front of your storage unit. This will allow you to pack your storage unit tightly behind the belongings that you will still need to use. As always we look forward to helping you with your storage needs.

Everyone can use a bigger Closet and Garage Now tell the truth, who among us has opened the door to their closet and said, “If I only had a bigger closet”? More and more homeowners and renters have a room or garage that has been turned into the dungeon of forgotten but needed items. I believe it was Harry Truman who said a chicken in every pot. Let’s now talk about closets. Now don’t get me started on my daughter. Unfortunately there is no more room at the inn, and I don’t have a manger. Here is where the local storage facility comes to the rescue. They have units in all sizes and shapes. Giving consideration to the option of renovating, and adding on to your existing home, a Storage Facility is often an inexpensive way to bring tranquility into your live without balloon payments and another mortgage. BTW, if you do decide to add on to your existing home, a storage station is the answer to the question, “What do we do with everything in the house as we renovate this one”? Brought to you by :

Calling All Contractors Give me your’ tired, your’ poor, your’ huddled masses yearning…for storage space? While you may recognize the first few lines of this literary work, I’m sure you can recognize the simple change we’ve made. While of course, the original piece was about immigrants from other countries looking for a better life here in America, the same sentiment rings true for us here at the Storage Station, when it comes town our local contractors and construction personal. We all know that the economy of this great country is not what it once was, and one of the hardest hit areas of our work force and job market has been the construction industry. As our housing market is still not anywhere near stabilized, home improvement and building companies have yet to be able to make their return to profitability. First and foremost, a huge benefit to a self storage unit is the ease of access. For many of us, once we pull out of that parking lot at 5:00, the old saying, “Out of sight, out of mind”, rings true.

Are pay stations in the self storage industry good or bad? Technology is an undying trend that has been playing a huge roll in our everyday lives for many years now. The use of technology has become essential to the way we conduct business and live our lives on a day to day basis and it is only going to become more essential and in-depth as time goes on. With this being said self storage facilities have been utilizing technology in such ways as running our facilities with specialized software, using e-mail and our websites to connect with tenants and to keep in touch with current tenants. With these advanced pay stations becoming more and more popular, let’s talk about some pros these pay stations have to offer. First off, if you are a person who works late at night or simply can’t get to your local storage facility to pay your bill while an associate or manager is there, these pay stations make it extremely easy for a tenant to make payment at their convenience. Spring is in the air I awoke this morning and I could hear the birds chirping away as my window was open. It is really great this time of the year as the days are getting longer and warmer. It is nice to see the new green on the trees and the flowering trees out. I really look forward to these spring and summer months getting together with family or friends and throwing a few steaks on the barbecue and having a few drinks. Since the warmer weather is here you also see a lot more motor cycles on the road. I can even see a change in our tenants here at Storage Station now that the weather has gotten better. Spring also brings some changes here at Storage Station as we must re-set our timers and take care of the grounds.

Auction Winners Utilize Self Storage Self Storage auctions have become a huge craze ever since the television shows like “Storage Wars” became popular. Being in the self storage industry I will tell you what, just about every single potential new tenant or new tenant asks the infamous question “do you have auctions just like on Storage Wars”? Of course we do, and then explain that just about every storage facility conducts auctions but storage wars makes storage auctions look real good! Now, let’s face it… If you have your possessions in a self storage unit the chances of you letting it go up for auction is not very likely but, you never know of the circumstance may bring and you really never know what you will find in the depths of a self storage unit when it goes up for auction from everyday items to the more exotic. This brings me to the aspect of self storage auctions and people making a career out of buying delinquent spaces and turning them over for a profit.

Storage Station Have you ever looked in your garage or your attic or that room that someday you will turn into useful space, you have always intended to do it but for one reason or another it just did not happen. Well, there is an answer. What is it, you ask yourself, should I throw it away, no I really want these things, give it to charity, that’s a nice thought, help someone less fortunate, have a garage sale, but then again I would not want to part with some of these things I accumulated, some have memories, some are still very useful, but I really need the space. Who should I call? Let me look at the internet and see who is in the area, Storage Station. Looks like they have 2 different locations in the area; that is very convenient Which one is closer,29 Flint Road or 25 James Street, one is in Toms River and the other South Toms River? It seems like a very smart solution, should I call them, let me see what the number is. Hello Storage Station Patrick speaking how may I help you?

Looking in from outside a storage facility One might think working at a Storage Facility is the easiest job going. There are days when it can become boring and then there are days when you say “oh my goodness, where did all these people come from at one time?” Believe me, it is better to be busy then not and actually when you think about it, it is a good busy. It’s not a busy where you want to scream or pull your hair out. The best scenario is: one day this week, I had a u-haul pull up to our facility and the people in it were looking for a good size unit – they had just emptied their mother’s home and it was all in the u-haul. The prospective tenants were very willing to let me get the paperwork done, get them where they could get something to eat and let me sweep out the unit. I have to tell you the most frustrating part of this position is when you call and call tenants to remind them to pay their bill, you can’t reach them because #1 – they have changed their phone numbers, #2- their e-mail doesn’t work or Brought to you by -

Fishermen and Self Storage “ Give A Man A Fish And He Can Eat For A Day, Teach A Man To Fish And He Can Eat For A Life Time” When people think about fisherman they generally don’t incorporate the idea of Self Storage into the whole scheme of outdoor sports but it is more common than most people’s thoughts of open water, boats, fishing rods, tackle boxes, bibs, parkas, lures or live bait and most importantly a day on the lake, stream or ocean hunting and tracking down a particular species of aquatic life of a person’s interest! The equipment fisherman use is quite vast depending on which species of aquatic life they are pursuing and literally the lists of lures, baits, attractants is endless let alone the different techniques that are used for each of the different lures that fisherman have success with. One very common species of fish that is pursued heavily within the United States is the largemouth bass.

Landscapers Utilizing Self Storage Everyone knows that landscaping is a seasonal job and the winter for landscapers is generally their down time. That is of course unless you’re a landscaper that also plows in the off season which most landscapers do! That raises a good question of what do landscapers do with their equipment such as lawn mowers, weed whackers, leaf blowers, shovels and rakes, snow plows, salting machines, snow blowers, trailers, trucks and the sort. Let me explain a little bit about a landscaper’s job before we move further so everyone is on the same page. For landscapers there are four seasons just like the four seasons for everyone else but these four seasons include different job details which keep landscapers on the move constantly! The first season in my opinion is spring which involves a lot of spring clean up. The next season of course is the summer season which is my favorite season!! The season following summer of course is fall and obviously this means it is time for fall clean up!!
