DIY Craft Project: How to craft a twine-ball light garland {As featured on Rock n Roll Bride} Time for another DIY craft project and today I’ll be showing you exactly how you can make this twine-ball light garland yourself. It’s one of those projects that’s a little bit messy and does take quite a bit of time, but it is so much fun. Plus you have a really cool piece of decor at the end of it. Perfect for parties or around the home, you can paint it up in any colour you want to match your design scheme, and when lit, it looks so pretty, casting lots of patterned twinkly light everywhere. Mine is now taking pride of place in my office. How-to make a Twine Ball Light Garland I’ve seen twine balls used for all sorts of purposes, from chandeliers to dining table decor, so I thought I’d have a go at making a light garland using this idea. I chose to use coloured twine, alternating between pink and purple twine balls. {You will need} {Four} This is the really messy part. {Five} Leave to dry overnight. So what do you think, is this one you’ll be trying out at home? Michelle x

Abby & Zach's Piazza Peacock Wedding & Dallas Wedding Photographer Stacy Reeves | Vintage Modern Wedding Photography It has been killing me to hold on to this wedding but I’ve been patiently biding my time, keeping these images quiet. Now that I finally have the go ahead from Style Me Pretty (where the pics will be featured this afternoon), I can show them off! Abby & Zach’s wedding was an awesome one for many reasons. Because it was a morning ceremony, the day started EXTREMELY early (I arrived about 4:30 AM and the girls were already up and running). Zach is the Vice President of DJones Tailored Collection, a company that makes custom-tailored suits, so naturally all the men are clothed in swanky DJones suits! Abby was inspired by the proposal scene in Pride and Prejudice where Elizabeth and Mr. This is by no means the end of Abby & Zach’s photos. However, I do want to give some major kudos to Piazza in the Village. Stay tuned – Abby & Zach’s AMAZING Parisian and Venetian Day After sessions will be live sometime today!

DIY Fabric Poms | DIY Wedding Blog | Once Wed We recently created this fabric pom pom as a tree topper for an inspiration shoot over at Design*Sponge, but it’s a great DIY project for a wedding as well. They have so many creative uses… hung above tables, chair aisle decor, or an alternative to the expensive flower poms that flower girls use to walk down the aisle. -Ashley of Dolci Odille Supplies: Fabric, scissors, hot glue gun, and chinese lanterns. Step 1: Cut circles out of fabric. Step 2: Fold the circle in half and put a little hot glue on the center, then fold over to secure. Step 3: Apply more hot glue to the bottom of the folded circle. Step 4: Press the bottom of the folded circle with the hot glue onto the chinese lantern. Step 5: Repeat these steps until the whole lantern is covered. Project created by Dolci Odille

DIY | Doily Lantern | Glamour and Grace The lovely Sarah is back again this month with another fabulous DIY! This one is so simple and chic, I know you all are going to love it! Happy spring, readers! I have been so excited to share this month’s DIY project with you! It is an easy, affordable centerpiece idea that was inspired by Shannon South’s gorgeous upcycled Doily Lamp. Materials: 4-5 doilies per lamp (preferably round and about 5-6 inches in diameter, depending on the size you want the orb to be. ***Before you start, make sure to wash your doilies by hand with a mild soap and lukewarm water in the sink. Step 1: Take your rubber ball or balloon and place it in a small dish to keep it steady while you work. Step 2: Once you have the doilies arranged how you want them, pour some fabric stiffener onto the palate or wax paper. Step 3: Leave a small area open so that you can insert the LED tea light. Step 4: Let the doilies dry overnight to ensure that it is COMPLETELY dry before handling. Have fun and stay crafty! Share:

{Wedding Trends} : Braided Hairstyles - Part 2 I LOVE braids! Although until recently, wearing a braided hairstyle was just for the bohemian bride, nowadays, soft, glamorous braided updos are being embraced by classic and modern brides alike! And dispite the fact that some people still consider braids to be an everyday-look, they could easily be adapted to a formal occasion. Case in point: Kate Middletown look at the BOA Olympic Concert.
