Inspiration and ideas of dessert recipes such as cupcakes and muffins, pies and cakes, cookies, biscuits and brownies Parmesan Garlic Bread: Last week was a busy week filled with a field trip to the zoo sandwiched by 3 twelve hour shifts. By Friday I was extremely happy for the weekend to arrive. Although Pat worked late, we still barbecued dinner and relaxed with a few adult beverages after tucking in our girls. Tonight he made a special request… for garlic bread. This garlic bread beats the store bought kind by a mile. It super easy to whip up and only takes a few minutes under the broiler. Here are the ingredients you will need. Start by pressing the three cloves of garlic into a medium bowl. Mince up a shallot so it measures one tablespoon. Add the shallot to the garlic in the medium bowl. Next, mince up the fresh parsley and measure out a tablespoon. Add that to the bowl along with the salt and pepper. Now add the *gasp* two sticks of butter and the two tablespoons {give or take} of freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Mix until combined. And set aside, just for now. Grab your loaf of Italian bread. Remove and slice immediately.

Recipes & Cookbooks – Food, Cooking Recipes from BettyCrocker.Com Baked Spaghetti from Trisha Yearwood A perfect potluck casserole, this one feeds a crowd! Using a basic tomato based spaghetti meat sauce as a base with layer of spaghetti noodles & cheese, finished with a cream soup topping. Baked Spaghetti is a fantastic meal for any day, but most especially for feeding a crowd, making it perfect for potlucks, church suppers and socials. This one has been a favorite around my house ever since the first time I made it. This baked spaghetti starts pretty much the same as with any spaghetti - boiling the noodles and putting together a meat sauce. Trisha Yearwood adds 1 small (2.25 ounce) can of sliced black olives drained, which I omit, along with 3 (14.5) cans of diced tomatoes with the liquid, part of which I exchange for Rotel tomatoes. Here's how to do it. Spread half of the spaghetti noodles in the bottom of a greased 9 x 13 x 2 inch baking pan. Sprinkle half of the cheese on top of that and repeat with another layer of noodles, sauce and cheese. ☛ Are you on Facebook?

nutella cheesecake layer bars | The Moonlight Baker I am very much a creature of habit. Daily routines, favorite foods, clothing styles, music preferences . . . It’s all so predictable. So of course, my shopping tendencies are no different. Case in point: 3 of the same horizontal-striped shirts from Gap in different color combinations. (To be fair, I found two of them on sale. I don’t know what it is about theses simple stripes that I like so much, but I always (and that’s no exaggeration) reach for this kind of clothing whenever I’m shopping. So I suppose it’s only natural that I would make a “horizontally-striped” dessert. Layer bars. (Oh, and cheesecake too!) These bars are awesome. The first (bottom) layer is a chocolate graham cracker crust. Next comes the second (middle) layer, which is really straight-forward vanilla cheesecake. Last is the third (top) layer – the layer we’ve all been waiting for – the Nutella cheesecake! You can’t go wrong when there’s Nutella involved. My Little Celebration | A Celebration of Healthy Food and Living Heart Cake Tutorial Finally!! Is that what you are thinking? Its ok. Do you remember this little thing? Well it turns out some of you daring bakers want to make this yourselves. Well. But you didnt come to see the outside right? Here goes. Start out by making four eight inch pans of white cake. Make one 9x13 (you can do whatever shape and size you want) pan of red velvet cake. First I need to level each cake. I use this handy dandy leveling cake thingy I got at Walmart for a few bucks. Remember to do this for all four white cakes. Add about 1/2 cup to 1 cup frosting and then put one layer on top. For the red velvet cake I just ran my fork through it to break it up. NOW! I know this looks pretty weird (maybe cause it is) but this is what I am going to use to make sure I have some uniformity in the heart design. Place one toothpick in the center of the cake, then (holding firmly) drag the outside toothpick around the cake and make a circle. Like this! Carve out a V shape in the cake. The two cakes carved out. Now.

Brownies for Dolce & Gabbana : Cafe Fernando – Food Blog - brownie - dolce & gabbana - swide - Brownies October 30th, 2010 | Category: Brownies, Chocolate I have to admit, I was a bit lost when Dolce & Gabbana requested me to create a recipe for their digital magazine, Swide. As soon as I read that email, I wished I were Pierre Hermé. He’d know exactly what to do. Right after I picked my self-confidence up off the floor, I visited their website for inspiration and came across the Fall/Winter 2011 runway show. Now, I do not know much about fashion. Because if it is good enough for Nick, it is good enough for everyone. What I saw on the runway was quite seductive, but so wisely (and tastefully, of course) camouflaged with transparent fabric. I thought, wouldn’t a chocolate lace decoration be perfect? Me? The first one turned out horrible. There’s no possible way to keep the chocolate in the piping bag fluid for longer than 10 minutes. Visit Swide for the complete set of photos and a short interview with me. A heartfelt thank you to Yiğit at D&G for this great opportunity. Ingredients Method
