Surprisingly, we received tremendous positive response on our test issue.

Sans remonter à l’époque où les familles aristocratiques engageaient une Mademoiselle, une Fräulein ou une Miss pour enseigner leur langue aux enfants de la famille ou plus tard lorsque les jeunes filles de bonne famille étaient envoyées dans un pensionnat en Suisse pour apprendre le français, les motivations pour apprendre une langue ont bien changé. De mon expérience de professeur de langue en Allemagne, les adultes qui apprenaient le français dans les années 80 le faisaient pour des raisons culturelles ou parfois touristiques. Un public à chaque fois bien différent ! Si nous souhaitons développer la francophonie, il faut donner envie d’apprendre le français et surtout démontrer que le français est une langue utile, indispensable pour donner un élan à sa carrière. Le président de la République a fait de la Francophonie une des priorités de son quinquennat.
