Invention - EVElopedia - The EVE Online Wiki Invention is based on taking a blueprint copy for a lower tech item, adding certain specialized equipment, and attempting to create a blueprint copy for a higher tech item. How Invention Works What you must have to engage in invention: A single blueprint copy of the Tech I item Two types of specific datacores One data interface of a particular type The required skills to invent An available invention slot Optional Additions: An actual named Tech I item of the type being researched A decryptor of a particular type Invention jobs use lab slots, not factory slots. The time it takes to complete the invention job depends on where it takes place and the blueprint Class. Advanced Mobile Lab Portable laboratory facilities, anchorable within control tower fields. 3 copy slots (0.65 job time bonus) 2 ME slots (0.75 job time bonus) 2 Invention slots (0.5 job time bonus) Mobile Lab Portable laboratory facilities, anchorable within control tower fields. Eve Tribune You see them all over the space-lanes now. Drakes plying their trade like giant floating flatbed trucks. Since their introduction, the Drake has been the most used of the new Tier 2 battlecruisers, and with good reason. So what is passive tanking? Simply put, passive tanking is when you increase your ship’s natural shield recharge to very high levels, thus allowing you to repair shield damage without a shield booster. Fitting a Passive Tank The great thing about passive tanking is that you can use both your low and mid slots for tanking. In your low slots the module to use is the Shield Power Relay (again, preferably T2). A sample passive tank on a Drake would be: 3x Large Shield Extender II 3x Shield Hardener II 4x Shield Power Relay II. 3x Core Defence Field Purger I rigs This may be excessive for your needs, but remember, since there are no stacking penalties on passive tanks, it’s a no-brainer. Now, this fit is great for PVE, but in PVP it will get you splattered.

Hehehe, grown up indeed. Way too many kiddy MMO's out there. *glares at WoW* by progger Aug 6

That makes sense to me. This is definitely not a game for someone who needs instant gratification. There are some young (out of game) players but they are very much thirty plus at heart. by progger Aug 6

Ha ha yes Evemon is very useful! It's interesting to look at the demographics of the game.... We had a quick poll the other day and found that at that time, %90 of the alliance online was males over the age of 30. by armature Aug 6

Yeah, its a long term plan. One of the best things about the group I am with, we all (with a few exceptions) think long term. Both my characters have most of the next three years planned out as far as skills. I was quite happy when I found EVEmon...made my spreadsheet go bye bye! by progger Aug 6

Awesome. You'll be in good shape, then. You've got guys who know what they're doing, I'm sure you'll get there soon. :) by armature Aug 6

the plan is going to involve the several corps I mentioned earlier. A complex one to say the least. by progger Aug 6

Yeah you'd probably find it challenging to hold sov by yourselves with that number. by armature Aug 6

The 15-20 is not including alts. by progger Aug 6

Off the top of my head I would say between 15-20 (depending on activity level) A bunch of us have alts (myself included). BTW, is there a way to PM in pearltrees? by progger Aug 6

How many active players are there in your corp? (Not counting alts) by armature Aug 6

Well we are lucky, we have some very VERY experienced players who know what they are doing. We also have some young savants who I've seen tear apart some much older players. Plenty of RL military experience in the ranks that leads to some excellent fleet and wing commanders. by progger Aug 6

Nice, that is some serious isk there. Good luck getting to 0.0! by armature Aug 6

We are stationed in Pen right now while trying to hammer down a POS in a WH with a static. We have it but several things need to line up first before we move in. Once the MEGA ISK rolls we can build up a warchest to take over a slice of 0.0. by progger Aug 6

Sounds like you're in a good position to get ready for the move. We had lots of inexperienced PvPers (Myself incuded) when we made the move, so you don't have to wait too long. Find yourself a good spot but do the legwork to find out who you're going to piss off by making a move. Nothing worse than starting an invasion and a mega-alliance comes outta nowhere..... by armature Aug 6

Not in an official alliance yet, we are still scoping out our best options. Unofficially we have several PvP based corps with very seasoned members who are RL friends of certain members of our corp. Basically it makes attacking us a trip to "FAILzville population: your corp". Lot of our members are 6mo. or younger so we are spending a lot of time developing our group. by progger Aug 6

Your corp in an alliance? Biggest piece of advice I can give is have friends... There's no way we could have taken or hold sov without friendly alliances. It's well worth it, though, there's excellent isk to be had and a whole new PvP experience. by armature Aug 6

Wow, nice work. Our corp is planning for 0.0. by progger Aug 6

The best way to practice! I pretty much jumped into nulsec feet first so I get lots and lots of practice. :) by armature Aug 6

Yikes! We just got dec'd by a three day old corp with some pretty young players (some of us are young aswell). We're going to use them as PvP practice for some of the new recruits. by progger Aug 6
