Free Patterns Menu: Period Clothing Patterns and Cutting Diagrams - The Ladies Treasury of Costume and Fashion Period Clothing Patterns and Cutting Diagrams IMPORTANT: Notes On Using Our Patterns These patterns are reproduced from original period patterns and from cutting diagrams found in English, French and American publications of the 19th and early 20th centuries. Those copied from full-sized patterns were scanned in at 1/2, 1/4 or 1/8 of the original size as indicated on each piece. They can be printed out and enlarged on a photocopier, projector, digitally, or by hand. Patterns copied from cutting diagrams have been scanned in at 1 to 1½ times original size and are not to scale. We also include period cutting layouts and diagrams which are not always to scale. All of these patterns come in one size only: that of the original. We are happy to grant non-commercial private and personal use of the patterns we share with you for free, but permission must be obtained prior to using them for any other purpose. Making reversible bag from top of straps to bottom of bag: 50 cm / 20 inchesheight: 28 cm / 11 incheswidth: 40 cm / 16 inches I don’t know because I used leftover fabric for my bag. You can print the pattern and place it on your fabric to make an approximation. It is only one piece of pattern. Fort similar bag, you can check Charlie bag by Burdastyle ($1.99). It is a bit bigger and has squared bottom. Please go to the bottom of this post to download the PDF pattern and tutorial. chemise2 To start, take the following measurements. Make sure the subject is standing erect, but relaxed. Full back length (from base of neck to floor)_____________+2" = _______ Chest measurement (around fullest part) __________________+2" = _______ Armhole measurement ________________________ Shoulder width (base of neck to tip of shoulder) _________________ Arm length (outside with arm bent) ________________________ Wrist _____________________________________ Now that you have your measurements: Now you're ready to sew. Pleating Hint: Take your sleeve and fold the width in half, mark it (make your and mark the very edges within the seam allowance), then fold each half in half, matching mark to mark, and marking each new one. After pinning your sleeves, make sure both are pinned on the same side of the fabric. Next take right side to right side of the sleeve and sew the sleeve length in a 1/2 inch seam all the way up to the body of the chemise. Next sew up the side seams on each side. 1. 2. 3.

Kimono "Kimono, meaning clothing in Japanese ..."
