What goes into making chocolate bowls

What goes into making chocolate bowls
Leave it up to me to mess up every recipe in the world... but on the flipside, by experiencing everything that goes wrong, I end up learning the most.I had seen these bowls from Stephanie's Kitchen, and decided it was a fantastic idea for my food independent study. ingredients: chocolate, and balloons! first, a giant bar of chocolate all the way from taiwan! and it's -special- grade, whatever that means. (i actually tried to pipe pretty lacy chocolate bowls first, but uh, that completely failed so i moved on. plus i don't like that pink fake chocolate.) balloons! tip number 2, after you have melted your chocolate in a double broiler and poured it into a bowl for dipping, let it cool before you dip your balloons. because although you are really excited to dip them and set them down like this... five seconds later you shall hear a POP and you (as well as your kitchen) will be covered in chocolate because apparently latex doesn't like heat.

How to make hard candy jewels Jo and I have been doing lots of projects over the last month or so for Little Jo’s birthday party, and I want to show you one of the projects I did for part of the party decor. We found ourselves needing some round gems in just the right color of teal. If they could be edible, all the better. So I did some shopping and some research and came up with everything I needed to make hard candy jewels. Meyer Lemons — The Salty I owe a debt of gratitude to Moroccan cooking expert Kitty Morse. After all, she’s the one who taught me just how easy it is to make my own preserved lemons. How easy? So easy that you don’t even need a real recipe for it. I took a cooking class at Draeger’s years ago that Morse taught.

Nutella Cupcakes With Philly Cream Cheese Nutella Frosting! — A Happy Hippy Mom My daughter is a Nutella freak and just loves the creamy chocolaty spread! She would take a jar of it to school and her classmates would pass it around during lunch and eat it straight from the container. Probably not the most sanitary thing to do, but teens live for the moment and don’t put much thought into that kind of stuff. I wanted to bake my daughter something special, so I decided to search for recipes using Nutella and found Self Frosting Nutella Cupcakes at Baking Bites. Nutella Self Frosted Cupcakes

Hanging String Balls Whattya need? BalloonStringScissorsGlueJar How do I make glue string balls? Step 1: Hang inflated balloon from ceiling. A Lighter Pumpkin Cake Every week, baking expert Alice Medrich is going rogue on Food52 -- with shortcuts, hacks, and game-changing recipes. Today: Give the king of the fall a makeover with a lighter pumpkin cake (that just happens to be gluten-free), thanks to Alice Medrich. Pumpkin normally appears in rich pies or hearty cakes. But here, with rice flour and a hint of spice, it produces a moist, fluffy cake with subtle flavors. I’ve tasted it with every imaginable topping from frosting to whipped cream and candied nuts, only to find that a sprinkling of spiced sugar is the best topping of all: Everything else overwhelms the delicate flavor of the cake.

saucy's sprinkles (bloggedy blog blog): happy thanksgiving More than a few readers suggested that Saucy try to make the infamous turkey cupcakes from What's Up, Cupcake for Thanksgiving. Remember, it's Thanksgiving in Canada this weekend. Saucy decided to give them a whirl. They are, after all, super cute. Super very cute. Raspberry Butter Hey again! It’s Liz from Love Grows Wild, and I have an extra special treat to share with you today! Whenever I have extra berries on hand, one of my favorite things to make is flavored butters. Deep-Dish Chocolate Chip Cookie for One By Lauren Zembron, on July 20th, 2012 I know, I know… it seems as though I’ve been posting sweet recipe after sweet recipe (with a little something cheesy thrown in); but you see, after what seemed like a long time during which sweets were unappealing during my first trimester, (what can I say, pregnancy does some strange things to your body!), they’re apparently back with a vengeance on my appetite’s menu. Sooooo if you’re a sweet freak like me, all I can say about my recent recipe post pattern is: you’re welcome. Pencils I have always wanted to make my own pencils, but the thought of shaping two pieces of wood to allow a piece of lead to sit perfectly inside made me think it wasn’t worth the effort. For some reason I was looking at some pieces of lead I have (for a drafting pencil) and “pop” there it was.. a solution to my DIY longing. Here is a tutorial to make pencils that is so ridiculously easy I’ve made 10 pencils since the idea came to me yesterday!

Rainbow Jello Recipe June 22, 2010 When I was young, rainbow Jello would always be one of the offerings on the dessert table. I used to peel the layers of Jello apart and eat them one by one, my favourite being cherry.
