Should I Remove It? Circumventing Censorship | VOA Special Report (Or, "How I learned to start worrying and start protecting my online privacy") By Doug Bernard | VOA News Illustration by Steve Fuchs At its best, the web can turn your computer or mobile device into a research library, a movie theater, a medical tool or a means to connect with just about anyone else on the planet. It’s an open, safe place to be who you are and grow into something new. At its worst, the Internet can become a dark and threatening place - a tool for thieves to steal, corporations to spy and governments to oppress. As the saying goes, the Web is what we make it. Information may want to flow freely, but there are plenty of forces that want to dam up the web’s flow of information and punish those who try to fight back. In particular, some governments are working hard to wall off parts of the Internet by filtering and blocking what people can see. Think of this project as something like a primer on Internet circumvention and anonymity. Keep in mind
UserPatch: Conquerors Feature Update List of emoticons A simple smiley This is a list of notable and commonly used emoticons or textual portrayals of a writer's mood or facial expression in the form of icons. The Western use of emoticons is quite different from Eastern usage, and Internet forums, such as 2channel, typically show expressions in their own ways. In recent times, graphic representations, both static and animated, have taken the place of traditional emoticons in the form of icons. Emoticons can generally be divided into two groups: Western or Horizontal (mainly from America and Europe), and Eastern or Vertical (mainly from east Asia). Western The emoticon in Western style is written most often from left to right as though the head is rotated counter-clockwise 90 degrees. Eastern Eastern emoticons generally are not rotated, and may include non-Latin characters to allow for additional complexity. Unicode characters References

Autorun Angel 1.0.31 free download Quickly highlight potentially suspect Windows startup programs Autorun Angel is a handy tool which will quickly check your Windows startup programs for potentially unwanted files. When we launched Autorun Angel on a test PC, it identified 277 files which needed to be checked. And to do this, all we had to do was click "Scan". The program then checked each of these files against a whitelist held on NictaTech's Anti-Virus Cloud Engine, removing each of the "known good" files in turn, until only unrecognised files remained. And it's important to keep in mind that this is all the final report tells you: that these are files NictaTech hasn't whitelisted as safe. This approach obviously has its limitations, because there are a lot of files to whitelist. But, on the other hand, Autorun Angel did manage to reduce its original list of our 277 startup programs down to a final unrecognised 8, and all in just a few seconds.
