Mike Peterson for District 42 House

An Open Letter to Jesse Benton Dear Jesse Benton, My name is Tracy Diaz. We assembled a "who's who" of the liberty movement- musical acts, speakers, vendors. While you were busy working to make sure you had a nice big house to live in, we were sacrificing our paychecks to travel to rally's and speeches, and make super brochures and run for local office--- all of our hopes hanging on the chance that we could have liberty in the White House and save our country. Tracy Diaz Young Republicans fight to join city committee. This is great news! We had a lawsuit filed in July/August due to the local Republican parties violating their own party bylaws. I am sorry I've kept this a bit of a secret until now. The revolution is alive and well. we're up for a new vote soon (Based off the judges decision) we don't have a tentative date yet but we have majority support to take over the party in Jersey city.

Green Party says Google is practicing censorship, violating 1st Amendment - Minneapolis Green Party Green Party supporters are crying foul over a bit of foul language Google claims is too hot to broadcast -- the controversy surrounds a recently released campaign video produced for Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein. Google says Stein used "inappropriate language" in the ad and thus nixed it for placement on Google TV. SEE VIDEO HERE The naughty word in question is a time-honored reference to a certain kind of manure, a word used so frequently among the public it has since blended into American consciousness as one of our most natural expressions – especially during the political season. The word is partially bleeped, but Google executives still consider its viewing public too delicate to endure it – that amid an otherwise gentle, squeaky clean horde of campaign ads issued by Democrats and Republicans. Apparently “Thou shalt not lie” gets a free pass from Google, while “Thou shalt speak in plain language” is forbidden.

David Pangrac For Congress-"Liberty IS Prosperity!" Romney Used His Bermudan Company to Invest in Chinese Outsourcing - Politics This article is from the archive of our partner The Romney-as-outsourcer drum bangs on. Mother Jones reports Romney invested millions of dollars in a Chinese company that relied almost entirely on outsourcing while at Bain Capital, and invested with his Bermudan company as well Brookside Capital Partners Fund, a Bain affiliate, purchased a 6 percent stake in Global-Tech Appliance, an appliance manufacturer based in China in 1998. Brookside had Mitt's name listed as the "sole shareholder, sole director, President and Chief Executive Officer of Brookside Inc. and thus is the controlling person of Brookside Inc." Mother Jones estimates the size of the initial investment at $14.2 million. A Romney campaign "official" wouldn't comment on the story, but a Romney "aide" told Mother Jones it wasn't a big deal to invest in a company that used outsourcing: "[I]t's my understanding that while Brookside is a part of Bain Capital, it is not a private equity vehicle.

Romney offshore accounts contain up to $32 million WASHINGTON (AP) – Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney owns investments worth between $7 million and $32 million in offshore-based holdings, which are often used legitimately by private equity firms to attract foreign investors. Such offshore accounts also can enable wealthy investors to defer paying U.S. taxes on some assets, according to tax experts. An Associated Press examination of Romney's financial records identified at least six funds set up in the Cayman Islands, a small Caribbean island chain that has long been used as a base for international investments because of low tax rates and financial secrecy. The Caymans have often been associated with individuals and corporations seeking to avoid paying U.S. taxes. BLOG: Romney lowers expectations in S.C. "If you file the forms and report the income, you are 100 percent legal," said Kevin Packman, a Miami lawyer who chairs the offshore tax compliance team at the law firm of Holland & Knight.

Romney tax returns detail funds not identified in ethics forms Reporting from Washington — Some investments listed in Mitt and Ann Romney’s 2010 tax returns – including a now-closed Swiss bank account and other funds located overseas – were not explicitly disclosed in the personal financial statement the GOP presidential hopeful filed in August as part of his White House bid. The Romney campaign described the discrepancies as “trivial” but acknowledged Thursday afternoon that they are undergoing an internal review of how the investments were reported and will make “some minor technical amendments” to Romney’s financial disclosure that will not alter the overall picture of his finances. A review by the Los Angeles Times/Tribune Washington Bureau found that at least 23 funds and partnerships listed in the couple’s 2010 tax returns did not show up or were not listed in the same fashion on Romney’s most recent financial disclosure, including 11 based in low-tax foreign countries such as Bermuda, the Cayman Islands and Luxembourg.

Team Obama Tracks Romney's Foreign Bank Accounts In a new campaign tactic some will say is a continuation of "class warfare" and a "war on the rich", the re-election team of President Barack Obama is now mapping out where presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney or his wife and family have foreign bank accounts. The campaign is calling for voters to contact Romney to move his money out of those foreign accounts and into US banks. Its website now displays a world map that tags the countries where Romney has holdings. The headline reads "Tell Mitt Romney: Bring your offshore accounts back to the USA." Romney has accounts or family trusts in Ireland, Bermuda, Germany, Luxembourg, Australia, the Cayman Islands and Switzerland, according to the map. "We don't know if he's using these accounts to avoid paying his fair share in taxes, but we do know that in 2010, Romney's tax rate was a startlingly low 13.9%," says the Obama website. "Americans know they are working harder for less every day. Will this determine the election?
