Other try waiting through the detox and still can’t get results they love. I wish I had the answer, but natural hair care is tricky. My all natural shampoo recipe is one of my more popular posts. Especially when one of YOU guys helped me see the better solution. My original shampoo recipe, like so many out there online, uses a base of castile soap. Luckily, there are more options. The comment that helped my poor little scalp Some months ago I got a comment from a reader named Amanda on my shampoo recipe. Why restoring your scalp’s pH is important I did a little research and found some amazing information on the importance of proper pH for your scalp. Your scalp, like your skin, ranges in pH between a 4 and 7. Liquid castile soap (like Dr. A Natural pH balanced Shampoo Recipe But what I didn’t love was the short-term supply of the recipe. How to create a secret garden | Dan Pearson You should never fear the small dark places. As a child these were my favourite haunts: the hole in the hedge with its cave of branches and leaf litter, separated from sky and the goings-on of the outside world. There was also the microcosm of the moss gardens I made among the root plate of the beech tree. A small bowl of water, which collected in a cleft between the roots, reflected the canopy above and I imagined this was the watering point of something tiny that lived among the roots. The moss was decorated with things found in the shade nearby: stones, beech mast, wood sorrel and primroses – giants in this imaginary landscape. The slivers of land that most of us have to contend with in cities are not so dissimilar. There are a few basic rules if you are working small. As for the plants, the same rules apply. Shade should never be seen as an issue – some of the most beautiful plants are adapted to cool places and the woodland floor. Dry shade is the most difficult of conditions.

How To Clean and *SHINE* Your Microwave Without Cleaner This is one of those ideas I have gone back and forth on whether I should post. First of all….I feel like EVERYONE already knows this “trick” to cleaning the microwave. I’ve been doing it for YEARS. However, I didn’t discover it until I had been married for several years and had cleaned the microwave COUNTLESS times the “hard way”. So….I would HATE for anyone to suffer needlessly because they just happened to have been living under a rock and hadn’t heard of this! And then there’s the ADDITIONAL concern that ONCE AGAIN I must display my dirt to the world. This, my friends, is the type of “mental torture” I put myself through for you people! Well, obviously I decided that showing you my dirty microwave “served the greater good”….because there you are, looking at it on your computer (or phone, or whatever) right now. I do feel compelled to tell you though, my microwave rarely looks THIS bad. Wow. OK…now that I’m committed to posting this…here we go. But that’s not all! (HELP! WOW!
